Atlanta Falcons Preseason Thread - Camp opens July 22nd

I requested that the other thread be anchored, as we are now officially in preseason!
Training Camp Info
We have 5 preseason games this year. First one is the hall of fame game a week from Thursday. No one of significance will play, but we'll get to see a bunch of guys wearing Falcons uniforms on tv...so there's that.

Been listening all morning to 929, they are at training camp. God I am ready for some football.

This whole DJ Durkin thing seems kind of silly. Not sure why Quinn would want those optics when he is on the hot seat.

DE Michael Bennett broke his ankle and is out for the season.
Did guys used to get hurt this early back in the '80s and '90s?

To be fair, I remember vividly before the Eagles game, someone from NFL network goes, "Kudos to the Falcons, the healthiest team entering the regular season."
I think timing and personnel are really the bounces we are looking for in 2019.

I was going to comment on the injuries so far, and realized that I would be at risk of jinxing the team by making said comments, therefore I will remain silent on the matter lol.
good news is that Allen and Neal both practiced, so we won't have to have "Safety Watch" this preseason to see when/if they would be ready.

List of players that under no circumstances, cannot be hurt:
(1) Matt Ryan
(2) Deion Jones
(3) Alex Mack
(4) Grady Jarrett
(5) Keanu Neal
I think with anyone else, you can make due for a short period of time, including Julio. He missed several games in 2016 when we went to the Super Bowl, and we won almost all of them.
I always knew DeBo was good, but after watching what our defense (even with Rico and Neal out) looked like with him, without him, and then with him again... it's remarkable.
Think Kazee is an overlooked player that can sub in when needed for Rico.
Really wish we got a bit more help on the D-Line this year. However, so long as we have Grady I think it will be serviceable enough.

Yeah that’s why I was asking if it’s the type of drills causing this, or are these guys just broke. 3 injuries all on the defensive side.
