What's the soccer equivalent of the infield fly rule? I'm going to make sure I save all of my empty beverage containers for chucking onto the field once it happens tonight.

Atlanta has been in control but they really need to bury one. The longer the game goes with no score the better it is for Columbus.

ATL United has been getting good looks in the 2nd half. Not connecting though.

What a way to get baptized into the rich tradition of heartbreaking losses Atl United. Welcome to Georgia.

Ah, playoff failure.

An Atlanta sports tradition. The Five Stripes are officially part of the fabric of the city.

Par for the course for an Atlanta sports team.

I started to get a bad feeling after ATL didn't score when pretty much dominating the first 45 mins. Then when it went to penalties I really didn't feel good about it.

The match resembled the Euro 2016 final between France and Portugal. France controls the game, controls possession, has tons of good chances in the first 45-60 mins but doesn't score. Match goes on, France gets tired, goes to extra time and Portugal scores in the 114th minute to win, on their second or third shot on goal in the entire game. This game went to penalties but ultimately the result was the same.

A win would have been nice, but that was a heck of an inaugural season in terms of regular season wins and fan attendance.
