Still a very young team. They all seem to enjoy each others company and playing together. Ozzie is signed, so is Acuna.

If we can get payroll and contracts figured out, then IMO this group has a shot at multiple rings in the next 5-6 years.

This team is very tightly budgeted and if they sign Freeman it will likely being even more restrictive. They managed to win because they paid peanuts for people who performed much better than at their previous spots. In order for this team to succeed it needs to be healthy and it needs to keep hitting the lottery on former performers that can be had for cheap. It’s not like the Dodgers where we can just go buy a Mookie and a Scherzer and add it to our already loaded roster. That said, it should be a playoff team with the core every year.

To be fair I’m not sure any of those guys enjoyed playing together. They compiled a team for a year, won it all and then left.

I’m thinking more along the lines of the NE Patriots and Brady reducing contract size for overall talent. Freddie could name his price, but I’m hoping he knows he’s a Braves legend and we can keep the group together for more rings.

We are on a budget, but we’re still in the neighborhood of the top 10-15 in payroll. It depends a lot on the mutual options with Duvall, Pederson, Soroka’s health, Ozuna situation, and resigning Freddie.

I think we keep Duvall and Pederson or Soler. I doubt we can afford Rosario after the offers he will get.

I think we keep 2 of the 4. Obviously don't need all of them with Acuna coming back. Not sure if Pache is ready yet.

Yes, Rosario got hot at the right time, but his overall numbers are not eye popping. Someone may overpay. If it becomes a bidding war for him, the Braves should definitely let him walk. Same goes for Soler. He got hot in the WS but his long term numbers are mediocre. He can crush the ball like Serrano from Major League though.

I like Pederson. He brought swagger to the dugout, and it showed. I commented a couple weeks ago that this year's Braves just looked the part whereas last year they looked stiff. Duvall is the oldest and cheapest of the bunch.

We never should have let Duvall walk last year , very lucky to get him back from
A division rival He loves ATL. Top priority is to resign Freddy and work to get some starters we need pitching to make multiple runs at this

Watching all this shows me how difficult it is. A lot of things have to go your way. We lucked out with AA though.

I personally want Soler and Joc back but would love to keep Duvall as well. I feel like Soler has the potential to return to his 40HR form.

No offense, but this is a terrible take.

This team is very young and for the most part, controllable. The entire infield outside of Freddie is either signed long-term(Albies) or under team control(Riley & Dansby). Plus, that is the BEST infield in baseball defensively and offensively. 30 HR's from everyone but Dansby who hit 27.

Dansby is 27, Ozzie & Riley are both 24. Freddie is 32.

Acuna(signed long-term) will be 24 in under a month.

Fried is 27, Soroka is 24, Ian Anderson is 23. All under team control.

See where I'm going? If you think this was some fluke and we were doing this w/spare parts or guys having pop years you are wrong. This team has a chance to go on a dynastic run that hasn't been seen since the late 90's/early 00's Yankees.

And The Dodgers will not win another title as long as Roberts is the manager. Dude is overrated. He over-manages like an MF'er.
