Lol.

On the bright side, the Mets gave up 4 in the 9th to lose to LA.

Tomorrow Folty pitches against a righty with a good ERA, hope he is like he was in the last start not the first 3. Saturday it's Soroka vs a lefty with an ERA over 4... this looks like the best chance to win one for the Braves to me. Sunday it's Julio against a lefty with a good ERA lower than anybody else pitching in the series on either side except Soroka.

Going to this game tonight, picked an ATL off night. Supposed to be hot out, but I have been looking forward to see Pache/Waters and pull for some future Braves...

ugh....back when I lived near Jax, I had the pleasure of seeing Mallex Smith, Rio Ruiz, and Tyrell Jenkins as the bigtime prospects

The M Braves even won, got good pitching from De la Cruz but not that great relief work. Neslony hit a 3 run homer, and Pache and Waters may have had one hit each but both came home on his home run.

Did anyone hear the AA interview on 680 this afternoon? They straight up asked him about payroll, and as you would expect he pussy footed around the answer. Basically, we’re spending as much as we’re going to spend aside from probably ten million or so. He went on about how he reports to McGuirk, and that is it. This is beating a dead horse at this point, but it just reassured that this organization isn’t concerned about winning in the sense of championships. You’re looking at an organization that is top ten in revenue and wants to spend in the neighborhood of 110-120 million on the team which is in the bottom third of the league. Fortunately, we have a lot of good young players to enjoy. Logically, I just don’t understand the Donaldson signing versus some bullpen upgrades being that was are greatest need. He must have gotten turned down multiple times in a thin market and just finally decided to sign Donaldson to appear interested in winning, plus he could get him for a one year deal.

I thought he gave a logical response on Donaldson. There is/was no certainty on what Camargo will do. Dansby coming off the wrist. Ozzie had a terrible 2nd half. There was no infield depth. They didn’t think Riley was ready.

My whole thought this entire time about them not spending is that they don’t believe they have a championship caliber team yet. And they’re right we don’t. Singing Donaldson might have paid dividends this year and if so you try to add a little more at the TD.

When pache and waters and Contrera or up at that point you fill the gaps to round out your championship team.

Soroka has been holding them at 1 since the 1st and finally got run support from a 2 run Freddie homer. 2 to 1.

7th inning Newcomb let a Soroka runner come home on a triple, but Swanson answered with a homer 7 to 4 Braves.

Braves got Soroka the W even if he didn't do his ERA any favors. Hope the stupid Dodgers are good for something tonight.
