Where are you getting this stat from? It is exclusive to the traditional 3 out save or is it including the 3 inning save and one out save? Is it factoring in 7th and 8th inning blown holds?
Technically, when a set up man enters in the 7th or 8th inning it is a save situation. It isn't until that pitcher is lifted until that RP is credited with a hold instead of a save (if he does his job).

Yeah, I think most people forget this. A blown save doesn't necessarily mean a lead was lost in the 9th.
With that said, I think we've lost 7 or 8 games where the opponent won in their last at bat. not completely sure though.

The 31% mentioned is 2019 YTD. It looks like the 2018 average was 34%.
I’m not certain but the number saves and save opportunities leads me to believe strongly that it is the “traditional” three out save.

That solves it. It is a traditional 3 out. You’ll see it was 8 in the 2019 numbers.

They're up 6-0 Dansby hit a freaking homer bomb for 3. Freddie's wasn't bad either. Even Fried got an RBI.

Yeah that's awesome, thanks cubs... but nobody tell the bullpen that might be what jinxed Jackson last night.

Riley! He hit a 3 run homer in the 7th. 9-2 Braves

This Riley kid might be ok.
Can we trade Donaldson for 2 or 3 quality bullpen arms?

who's in LF in that scenario...Acuna with the return of inning Ender? or Camargo? Culberson?

The Braves won! A game and a half out of first. Congrats to Fried. Hope Gausman can help with a series win tomorrow against their Bumguy lefty.

Yes.

Problem with this is that a team who is in a state where they are willing to give up 2 or 3 quality bullpen arms will not be interested in renting an aging Donaldson and his 20+ million contract prorated.
The Braves are a much better team this year with Riley in left and Donaldson at 3B.

I know. It goes back to me wishing the FO would have spent $ on things other than Donaldson in the off season. I had no idea Austin 3:16 would be in the show and doing this well so soon though. I thought he'd be a July-ish call up.
The comment about trading Donaldson was made in jest, but just thinking about contenders would might be interested in a rental at 3rd:
NYY- Will need a 3rd baseman once Urshela regresses (it is going to happen), but with the exception of Holder I don't see any bullpen arm on baseball-reference.com that would be a substantial upgrade for the ATL pen that they'd possibly be willing to part with. Donaldson is familiar with the AL East so maybe the Yankees would give it some consideration?
CLE- Ramirez is having an awful year so far. He's signed through 2021 though. They have several bullpen arms that are interesting, especially since they called up former Nationals closer Tyler Clippard.
TEX- Cabrera is in his last year of his contract and has a negative-WAR season right now. They also need starting pitching help BAD right now. Maybe possibilities for a package deal to get Shawn Kelley and Chris Martin.
I know winning the division is still very possible, but I would be hesitant to deal to someone ATL would be contention with for a WC spot.
Just pointless May rosterbation at this moment in time...

Without Braves bias turned on which of our players do you think have had or are likely to have a good enough first half of the season to rate the all star team starters or reserves with a little over a month left?
I hope he turns it around for the Braves and him, but so far it looks like Folty won't be making a return trip this season. Ozzie and Nick have had good seasons overall, but not sure that would be what gets someone to the all star team. They have been going downhill lately, unfortunately, hopefully only temporarily.
I'd say Freddie is the only one who definitely deserves to make it twice in a row. Ronald and Austin should go to their first all star game in my opinion, but for Austin will they say he wasn't in the league for a long enough time? At least he could do like Acuna and still pull off the rookie of the year. I think for pitchers, Soroka is a definite pick, and maybe Fried if he continues to impress.
