Maybe because our society used to respect people when they said "please stop doing __" instead of people seeing that as "weakness" and "doubling down" to make that person's life a living hell and thus somehow "win"?

And yes, I realize the irony of me complaining about trolling. But it's expected on here. In real life it's chickenshit to harass people at home
