Thanks for the run down, Arksulli.

It sounds like Nutt fans versus Malzahn fans, and both factions are stubborn. Is that close?

I don’t know you but I don’t like you.

It’s a good thing I’m 3 days into an 8 day vacation and saw the stunning Badlands today or I might tell you off. (Subtle (for me) vacation brag). About to go have a lovely dinner in a while. Have fun at work tomorrow suckas!

No.

If you remember all the 2006 drama it was directly caused by Gus buddying up to Irwin and leaking the narrative he wanted out there, when push came to shove he deflected all the blame on the Springdale parents. End game for Gus was the game the HC job from Nutt in a similar back stabbing fashion as Fulmer taking the tenner job so many years ago.

After 2006 was over, in an effort to help Mustain, Nutt hired Lee who Mustain had trained with during the summers while he was in HS to replace Alex Woods as QB coach, he was going to be co-oc with Gus who was already the WR coach, Gus couldn't handle this demotion and left. Before doing so he worked on all the Springdale kids to transfer out, Williams bolted first, Mustain wanted to transfer to Tulsa, Gus didn't want him there. Cleveland didnt really have any options. The offense in 2007 was actually better, the defense took a step back and some questionable in game decisions led to a worse record than the year prior.

Nutt was told to look for a new job before the Tenner game (as Bert has been encouraged to do currently), obviously no one knew he was about to be replaced, rumors started the week of the tenner game, criticism from the local media ramped up this week (sound familiar?), an incite was post LSU when Nutt is devastated emotionally and soaking up the moment not leading the band per usual, most at the time feared it was because he had saved his job, not that he was in contract negotiations with OM... guess who the first phone call was from post resignation announcement? An OC from Tulsa followed by a booster recommended Long give him an interview which was done as a matter of appeasement.

Why the push for forcing Long out as AD by the same group who absolutely loves Gus? Because he was well briefed on the facts of the situation and the actions of Gus and Nutt causing all the drama, he's smart enough to know garaunteed toxic situations and to avoid them. After all his first priority in his job is to secure his own employment...

Ohhh Lord, At this moment, I even love Dale Denton... No Homo...

And you just brought it. This is exactly the truth. To the T...

I got a call during that commotion by a BOT member and by an upper level admin at the UofA. Was astonished that they called me after me emailing several of them with some info.

I had worked with Nutter at FCA events a few times. But Gus was no better than Nutt and perhaps worse, if one can only believe it. TY Dale... WPS!

I hope you are right that he has been told to find a new job.

I already think he is fired. I just hope we are already looking for a new coach.

Mike has repeatedly expressed his disdain towards Gus, and said both sides were to blame in the entire fiasco. He does not seem to have as much Ill will towards nutt as he does Gus now though.

Now.

Back in 2006 it was all about his source close to the staff informing him of Mustain's sleeves, the hazing of the freshmen, and the OC nicknaming him "High School".

He had to stop posting on webites, channel 5 saw to that, then he started his lame video blog that lasted to his dismissal at channel 5.

Today, yes, he hates his puppet master, accesses blame to both sides, etc, back in 2006 it was only how bad the Springdale saviors were being treated on the hill...

What Dale is saying has a whole lot of truth to it..

There were a couple of other media types who were used by ole GM as well, some caught on quickly, others... didn't.

The hazing incidents were horrible, the Donna Bragg stuff, and Dale, who was the woman who did the hate filled emails concerning Mustain, etc? I cant remember the name. Was it Bragg or was Bragg just the accused mistress?

Crazy times indeed.
