Did you watch the Florida game?
We ran them through the shot clock like 5 times and shut down one of the most explosive teams in the league.
You realize UT shot 90% in the first half right?
90 f-ing percent.

So you think they should play more zone? Did you see how well Tennessee was shooting yesterday? When a team is hot from three you don't play more zone.
LMFAO. Where did I say that? The conversation relates to shrinking the amount of space the defense (particularly help-side) has to cover when we get blasted by a screen, make a weak attempt at a steal and get beat with a jab step. Is it easier for the defense to recover from 30ft out, or 22?

Yeah, you're right. Why would we want to talk defense.

3 games in three days.
You realize they finished the UF game at 1130pm and then turned around and played at 2pm? Did you factor that into your "discussion"?

You realize I've been saying the same shite for years? Because it doesn't change, regardless of circumstances. Genius.

You call people names, and then whine about namecalling. You wait until Arkansas loses a game and then bump a three year old meltdown thread to prove something on an anonymous board. You're losing your mind over Arkansas getting beat by a top 15 team on no rest. Yesterday I thought you must be joking, but you're serious and this is some bizarre behavior.
In all honesty, you have some kind of personality disorder. That's not "namecalling" by the way. I sincerely hope you seek help.

Waiting for your response on the UF game. Why was it working against them?

It's funny that you bumped that thread about the early Clemson game from several years ago. Turns out that was the best season for Arkansas basketball in decades. Real hot take there bud.

WHEN did I call someone names? Before or after it was done to me? Don't start shite, won't be shite.

Let me spell it out for you. In order to NOT seem reactionary, I bumped an old thread SPECIFICALLY to show that I've been saying the same shite for years.

Your hyperbole is deliciously stupid. "Losing my mind" = attempting to discuss my college's basketball team and not participate in banal circle jerks. Brilliant.

When is an appropriate time? What year? When am I allowed to post my opinion, master?

Barford played amazing. They were a tiny team that couldn't rebound. Allen played terrible. The refs let us play.
OBVIOUSLY it's not impossible to win with MA's style. Zero. Sum.

It's funny how you fellate logical fallacies.

It's just not that great of a defensive team. It happens. Do you expect every single guard to be Kawhi Leanord?
We're short a big long guard and then have a couple guys that didn't turn out to be what we thought they would (cook and Thomas).
We've got a lot of length coming in and Hall, Jones and Bailey have shown some potential.
You need to chill out.

I suspect that you didn't watch yesterday's game at all and only looked at the box score.
The first half defense wasn't bad at all... We just ran into a ridiculously hot team.

Not that great or best defensive wing on the planet. Those are our options. Definitely NOTHING, no amount of adjustment, that could close the gap. NOTHING. MA is perfect. We can do no better. How long after he retires do we build the statue?

Hall is a fantastic defender, IMO. I'm extremely excited about him. But team defense doesn't require a team full of Halls. That would CERTAINLY help, but there are small things we could do that would take the pressure off a defensively challenged roster.

I guess it's a good thing I'm not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, then.

So you still think you were right after being proven wrong? Like I said, personality disorder. There are some good therapists in New York, probably pretty expensive though.

You have proven NOTHING wrong. Jesus Christ.

So why won't you address the defense against Florida? Ruins your narrative huh?

Did that. And it perfectly syncs to my prior criticisms of MA's defensive strategy being entirely too dependent on the shitty college basketball refs' willingness to let teams play.
But, of course, it helps when you have a decided size advantage and Barford plays amazing.
Things happen across a spectrum. Not either/or. As I've CONTINUOUSLY said, it's not impossible for MA to make it easier on his defense. Does that mean his defense can't have a good game? Absolutely not.

We're 23-11.
We've only played 1 good game defensively?
We just made the SECT semi final, after making the final 2 of the last 3. 8 teams are going to the NCAAT from the SEC, you realize how NOT often that happens? You really need to get a life.
