We also held them to 300 less than LSU in basically the same amount of attempts. Wild.

This is a great stat. Underrated. Had some 3 and outs in the 2and half as well.

Even more impressive is the fact that a key defensive play in the 4th quarter was accomplished by a former walk-on (got scholarship a couple weeks ago) and a current walk on. Redzone. Need a big stop. HUGE pass break up!!!

Chaggie and Chavis didn't have enough talent to work with
quote:

Six of the 11 starters on Arkansas' 2018 defense - which ranked 108th nationally in scoring defense - have now played in the NFL. It makes sense that the DC that season is now an assistant coach at a middle school.
I'll once again reiterate that we might not have enough talent to compete consistently with the elite in the SEC --- we rarely do. However, there was more than enough talent to not have the shitshow that we witnessed the past two seasons. No reason to get beat by Colorado State, North Texas, San Jose State and Western Kentucky. The Citadel, ULM, and Toledo losses sucked but none of those were the total arse whippings that we suffered at the hands of North Texas and the vengeful Ty Storey of Western Kentucky. Compare the recruiting rankings of those programs and the players they've put into the league and then try and argue that they had more talent than us. As Biddy has said multiple times - there isn't a born and bred hilltopper from Kentucky or a Mean Green diehard from Denton, Texas who would have chosen to play for those programs over the Razorbacks. It just sucks that those players got the short end of the stick when it comes to coaching.
