Cant get separation or off the line of scrimmage. Runs a lot of lazy routes and weve seen him drop catchable balls like in the Auburn game.

Don’t think he’s gonna make it here. Hate it because he’s a good kid.

Must just not be what Briles’ offense looks for in a WR. Not sure how he has regressed this much. He had one of the better seasons we’ve ever had from a freshman receiver last year and that was with a hip injury. Of course I guess 2 of his TDs came against Colorado State and San Jose State while we don’t have those this year.

I do think he could have some success in the red zone just by tossing it up to him but when you have Burks doing that instead you don’t really need it.

I think most folks forget he was pretty non-existent in SEC play last year too. In the first game against Ole Miss he did well with 6 catches for 88 yards. However, the 7 other games, he only had 7 catches for 86 yards and 1 TD.

Inability to get separation has been a problem for 3 years now with our receiver corps. The tight ends, specifically Kern and Henry, are the only ones who can get open reliably, mostly on releases.
