The post I was responding to was asserting the opposite.

If someone hires me to coach the Razorback football team, I work as hard and as smart as I am capable of working, and it doesn’t matter if I’m making 100K or 100 million. A job like that is a direct reflection on me and the University. I hire and develop people willing and able to do the same, and want to be paid according to the results they produce.

No it wasn’t.

Freeze was looking for a big paycheck.
Pittman already has his and he isn’t hungry no more.

Great for you, Pittman doesn’t seem to share your work ethic.

Do you know this, or are you looking at the results of the game, and extrapolating that to mean Pittman’s effort was lacking? If it’s the former then I would agree Sam needs to go. If it’s the latter, you are simply using a shitty metric to measure another man’s effort and ethics.

Apparently you don’t think people work harder for a bigger paycheck. Or you think he quit once he got it, which I don’t believe either. I believe he has a Big 12 OC, who has won some games, but also lost some games there was no excuse for losing.

In sports there is only one metric.

Oh it’s Briles fault still, when after losing the biggest piece of his offense had the same stats or better.

But not on the defense who got twice as bad in every statistical category?

I’ll give him next year to get his crap together, another year like this one and he should do the right thing and hang it up like he said he would.

That’s how I feel too. I want him to go out well respected by the fan base so one more yesr to see if he can put something together or he retires. I pray it doesn’t come to firing that would be be like firing a favorite uncle or something.

I also hope the retarded segment of fans don’t FOIA his life and have some type of protest in their overalls carrying their spittoons.

Burks was not the biggest piece of his offense, KJ is. And I don’t know if the problems on offense are all on Briles, but I do know dozens of shitty play calls, predictable play calls, and bad protection schemes, were Briles’ fault.

I know that the defense was atrocious at times, and Briles and the offense won sone of those games despite the defense. But to ignore the fact that the defense played well enough to win 3 of our losses if the offense had come to play is ignoring reality.

Then we can get into what the defense lost from last year to this year, and then lost during the season this year.

Deion is supposedly heavily interested 8n Colorado. If he goes there and even wins 7-8 games per year, that will be. A huge success.

Let Sam "retire" in a year or two and go get Prime Time.

I’d just as soon see us scrap the football program.

How much of his success is due to out-recruiting his competition though? I could see him getting exposed at the FBS level without superior talent.
