You're right. Consistent errors and the inability to hit any decent slider are both fine for a team picked to win the toughest division in college baseball.

I know I’m right. The same shite was said early in the year in 2018 and in 2019.

Nice strawman. Denying the issues coming to light as we face our first decent competiton all year doesn't make you a better fan. It's ok to admit this team has glaring weaknesses to address.

Nobody is denying shite. Martin is the only defensive liability. Guess what he sucked arse last year (and in 2018) too. The team seat a school record for strikeouts last year, they are going to strikeout a lot.

Offensively Kjerstad, Franklin, and Opitz are all much better than they were last year. Nesbit appears to be better as well. Goodheart is struggling at the moment. Martin is Martin. He’s going to hit 12 or so HRs and hit 270ish. The new comers will take 4 or 5 series to settle in.Moore is giving more than anyone could expect so far. This team will hit for a slightly less average and have slightly more HRs than last year.

Wicks start tonight was an anomaly. As many hits as he gave up they were still mostly ground balls. He had 3 or 4 balls hit through the 5-6 hole that could just as easily been ground outs. That’s how baseball goes sometimes.

Keep in mind they haven’t been playing midweek games yet either. That will make a difference. As someone that supposedly played you should know that it’s a lot tougher to play when you are taking multiple days off between games.
