He will be given a few years at TCU then move on to another school as OC.

His reputation will keep him from getting any good head coaching jobs.

Imagine still defending him, when they experienced exactly what we experienced for the last 3 years. Namely shitting the bed in the red zone.

He has his issues but let's not act like he's trash. 42 should win you any game

And two red zone interceptions should lose you any game. And they did. Briles is their problem now. Anyone still on his nuts is more of a Briles fan than a Razorback fan.

Don't know why you're triggered by Briles. I'd say an overwhelming majority our base don't hate him. Best OC since Petrino. Stats don't lie.

Once again if 42 points doesn't win you a game then the offense is not the problem.

Also did he throw those interceptions?

Yes and no. Did your offense consistently go 3 and out or score and nothing in between wearing that defense down?

Does your offense do weird things consistently in critical moments that cause catastrophic failures. Usually result of strange play call

Does your offense consistently stall in the RedZone? This is on coaching and execution by the way typically...

Briles will take care of your offense but he's not gonna win you many games with it alone. I don't dislike briles either he's a pretty good OC compared to most.

I don’t get “triggered” by anything. Speaking the truth about Briles certainly has upset many over the last few years, though.

Nor do I hate him. I just think his offense, for all the yards, stats, and even points, is not good for the team as a whole, not good for meaningful drives at critical points in games, and not good in meaningful games, period.

Well of course they do. You have to decide what stats to believe. Big 12 and PAC 12 and even ACC offensive stats have pretty much proven to mean diddly shite against SEC defenses. This is why the SEC has dominated in national championships for the last 25 years.

So their defense wasn’t good. That has absolutely zero to do with the fact that a pass play was called on 3rd and 1 from inside the 5 yard line, when the run game had not been stopped all day. The result was an interception which cost them a chance to win the game. The score is irrelevant.

FML. Heard that one for the last 3 years. The plays that are called have a direct effect on the success or failure of the players to execute. Bottom line is, there is a reason why you hand the ball off, twice if you have to, when you need one yard to win the game. Especially if your run game has worked all day.

He can score points and fill up the stat sheet, but he puts the defense in precarious situations.

But would they even be in the game without Briles putting up 42? It's the same people bitching about LeBron missing the last shot after having a 50 point triple double.

The hypotheticals are endless. The reality is they had a running back that had 14 carries for 160+ yards, and on 3rd and 1 with the game on the line, a competent OC runs the ball, twice if necessary.

If you wanna know what a guy is made of and how well his team executes under pressure check out RedZone stats.

He loved calling slow developing plays behind the line of scrimmage.

Arkansas was ranked 70th in the nation in red zone offense.

That would put them 10th in the SEC last year.

Briles gave Shedeur Sanders a chip on his shoulder LINK

He remembered that and he wanted to beat that guy so bad that he just went to work on Saturday" ~ @DeionSanders
