I’m going to qualify this statement by saying I was a HS coach for 21 years before going into administration 2 years ago.
Guys our fundamentals on defense are terrible. Open field tackling is poorly coached. Weight way beyond the toes and we don’t come to balance. Half the time we zone turn instead of man turn. Leverage is wron half the time… including Bama’s first TD Saturday.
We have just enough pressure on the QB to get by sometimes but we are poorly coached literally everywhere on defense. Even our 3 down linemen consistently can’t draw double teams which leads to guards ending up on our LBs. From a coaches perspective it’s beyond bad. Time for a change.

My biggest concern this year was the loss of Ridgeway and not drawing double teams. It’s the death of the defense to run a 3 man front and those three are one on one. The kid from Eldo works his tail off, but he just doesn’t require a double team on every play. Once the OL gets hands on the LB’s, it’s game over.

You just can't help yourself. 1st. Jesus didn't ask Peter to cut off the ear of the soldier. Peter did it on his own and was rebuked. BTW, that same Peter, Cephas, (rock) was the main speaker on the DOP in Acts 2 that led to over 3000 folks from different nations becoming disciples.
