only headscratcher so far is the OL coach, who mizzou fans said was awful this year. hoping pittman is hands-on and ensures the line is doing well.

Mizzou usually has solid defenses with lower rated recruits than we usually get. Not seeing the problem here.

I was bummed out that we didn't hire him years ago when Bielema was here. Guy is a good coach. He had Memphis playing good defense when he was there. They jumped up from like 130th in the nation in total defense to #28. Then when Pinkel took him back to Missouri he got them to their first ever top 10 defense ranking.
This is a home run hire by any measure.

If Odom can get us to a Mizzou or Memphis level defense, I don't care who his D assistants are.

He helped coach Scoota Harris and Dre Greenlaw to SEC 1st team all-freshman selections while he was here. Both of them were 3 stars.
Wouldn't exactly call that shite.
Cale Garret for Mizzou is going to be a 3rd or 4th round draft pick and would have been 1st team All SEC, if not an All-American, again this year if he didn't get hurt. His teammate Nick Bolton just got 1st team All SEC this year as a sophmore and will be a high nfl draft pick next year. Both of those guys were low rated 3 stars not even in the top 1,000 players............I think we'll be fine.

Not arguing his recruitng wasn't mostly shite, but to be fair he didn't get to develop all of these guys after he recruited them, and Pool, Henry, and Calloway are solid players. He also recruited Scoota who you conviently left off. That's a homerun diamond in the rough right there. Not gonna argue at all aginst the rest. I was just saying his overall tenure with us was not shite.
