Upon thorough rewatch of the game (I've a 2 month old and plenty of time on my hands), below are a few things that stuck out on film about our offense.

Clary was actually pretty decent, and did reasonably well in the run game. He had a few missed assignments, but nothing out of the ordinary for a true freshman in his first action. We ran behind him on the first touchdown (5 yard run by Whaley), and Kendrick Jackson and Cantrell also did a great job making that play happen. He had a few key blocks on some of Hayden's runs in the 2nd quarter.

Jackson is a liability, no way to sugar coat it, and it stands out on tape. He got turned around and worked in pass pro several times, most notably on Austin's first interception (however, upon a pretty thorough viewing, that pick is on Allen - his arm was well in motion before getting hit, and it was uncatchable for Stewart). Also, he took several bad angles in the running game and missed his assignment on a few plays. He missed his man on the 3rd and 1 play on our first drive, and Kendrick Jackson had to pick him up, which led to the outside linebacker coming free to hit Whaley for a 1 yard loss to force a punt.

Ragnow is one of the best Razorback linemen I've ever seen. Just a supremely impressive blocker at both the first and second levels.

Froholdt looked pretty solid, especially in the running game. Hopefully he's taken that developmental step forward from year 1 to year 2.

We have a really good group of TEs. Cantrell, O'Grady and Patton jumped off the film, and even Kraus did a pretty good job blocking. Patton is fast but also held his own in the running game. Cantrell is an extremely good blocker.

Austin didn't have a very good game. He missed a few wide open reads (O'Grady on an out in the end zone, Jones on a skinny post for a sure TD) and made a few odd decisions, most notably on the pick. He forced a few other throws, mostly on rollouts, one or two of which could or should have been picked.

Kendrick Jackson (not Tyler Phillips) is a very good blocking fullback. He's gone under the radar, as fullbacks often do, but he's absolutely an asset to our offense and did a great job in both lead blocking the run game and in pass pro out of 21 and 22 personnel. Hayden Johnson isn't bad either.

Our receivers look fast, but they didn't look very physical, and they didn't do much of note in terms of blocking. The blocking by Pettway and Jones on screens left a lot to be desired. Nance threw a lookout block that almost got Whaley killed, and he's lucky he only got cut down for a 2 yard loss. We've got to get better in blocking if we're going to have a screen or perimeter running game. We're going to miss the blocking prowess of Hatcher and Morgan.
