The odd thing is I have higher standards than you for next season I guess.

2.5 times actually.
Mike Irwin (and I like Mike) brought up Nolan when discussing coaching difficulties in year 1. Now fans are using that as there go to defense of Chad.

Quite frankly I'd rather have Nolan coaching this football team right now.

shite... at least put him at AD. Could you imagine the GOBN trying to tell Nolan what to do or who to hire?

You seem to struggle with reading comprehension. Please show me where I said their winning percentages were the same.

Are you saying that Nolan didn’t struggle. You set the bar with your Bear Bryant quote

Are you not excited about the revenge game against Colorado State?

I hear the stadium has already sold out for that game.

I blame him for the loss vs csu. 100% all on him. Also his fault for playing Cole to long vs NT.

Ole miss? I can not fault him for all the injuries. We win if any one of them stays healthy.

Vandy? They just have a more talented team. All of our "best players" are not here anymore. They hit on the guys they got.

I don't know how.

I'll be at all the home games again next season and probably over at Oxford for the early season conference game. Would love nothing more than to see us start a new streak vs. the land sharts.

I never heard Mike Irwin talk on that subject. It’s a pretty straight forward response when a basketball guy says that he judges a coach based on how he does with another coaches players, is it not?

Yep, said the same thing. That game is the clear one that could have been different with better play calling.

So this is of the same logic as using Coach Kryhaodhfaodhfaidhnf's struggles at Duke for 3 years to justify Pelphrey's struggles at Arkansas?

I sure as shite am. I hope it's hot as frick and that the lower elevation kicks their arse.

I want us to give the Rams a Nicholls State type as whoopn.

I would say that he needs to also win at least 1 sec game plus the OOC for it not to be a disappointment. Depending on how some of the other teams in the league end up being next year, you could argue a bowl game is needed.

I am definitely looking at this season's results with skepticism. 2-10/3-9 is obviously fricking terrible and should always be considered unacceptable.

Thing is, I'm pretty sure tChad would tell you these same things himself.

Today I heard all the big stink about suspending two defensive backs for this upcoming game. Some people are actually heated about it. And I get their point. Those guys just got some girls numbers.

But here's the thing...And it ties into the overall record...We don't know the true extent of the culture in that locker room.

There are 1,000 variables concerning team chemistry and other things, that we aren't privy too. All we can do is judge the statline. And right now it doesn't look good. But the sample size is too small.

I don't see any other reasonable approach. Anyone gnashing their teeth at this point is being unreasonable.

The play calling was not as bad, as not picking a QB (ty) before the season.

Both bad but that 2nd half was pathetic in terms of play calling. We were having a lot of success running on them and started to get away from it. Obviously I thought the 4th down call was terrible as well.

Good point. I'll add a tidbit about Kelly Bryant. I think it would be awesome to get him. I think Bryant will help sell tickets to a bad home slate. BUT I don't think getting Bryant is needed. AND I think getting Bryant will put more pressure on Morris. Bryant is QB then most people (not me) will demand a bowl game.

I think this will be just as important as his on the field results. I'm not as high on him as some on here but I recognize he would be a major upgrade over what we have currently.

Sure it will, the QB excuse goes away. If he doesn't have Kelly ready to run the plays effectively, who will he ever have ready for that?

In mean ways, year 2 will be just as important as year 3. The results he has in year 2 will define how much pressure he has in year 3 and what will be expected. If he is able to make a bowl game next year, won't nearly be as much pressure in year 3. If he only wins 4 games next year, going to be a lot of pressure in year 3.

Chadillac doesn't have Gus clout, but he's a bad QB pick away from being fired.

You respond with only record, so I corrected your error in thinking that is a good response.

I also don't think you get what Bear was saying, he proved at every spot he coached, he didn't adjust to his players, his player's adjusted to him.

He was able to install a completely new offensive system he had not been recruiting for in a fall camp while at Bama.

So you want to talk about Nolan, fine, his "struggles" can be directly contributed to having the players adjust to him, not vice versa, even during the early years you could see what he wanted to do.

Now on to Chad, all we have seen is slow play not hammer down fast lane shite. We have seen the run game work, then be completely abandoned, we have seen uptempo work only to be slowed down to a crawl immediately following it. It would be completely different for Chad if he had his team doing what he wanted them to do in the future this year, they were being blown out regardless.
