My brother lives in Cape Girardeau. That's like 30 minutes or so from New Madrid, MO. My butt would pucker living there.

The hurricane in '08 that wiped out the Houston refineries was still a tropical storm when it reached NWA. We seem to get a little bit of everything.

Most people living up there have no clue, if a big one hits from Monette to the Mississippi River in NEA will be gone. It’s a thin layer of earth sitting on top of a huge aquifer. It’s the reason I passed on earthquake insurance. Why bother when I will likely be dead.
