cant take credit for the genius name. that honor belongs to our very own S&C coach. LINK
i do have a ten year old DVX somewhere in my closet and a couple of films under my belt though.

How would Herbert best describe the physical transformation of so many football players?
"I call it transformance,'' he said. "Transform your performance.''

Gold mine. Huge recruiting and promotional tool.

Some where I have an old VHS of basketball fundamentals that Nolan made, you have Big O teaching the Jump Stop, Todd the proper free throw mechanics, Lee the "triple threat" stance, etc.

That would certainly be an NCAA violation today, unless it was after they completed eligibility.

It was made in the 93-95 time frame when they were all in the NBA.
Still kinda neat, I haven't watched it in a while, some other former Hogs who were in the NBA at the time may have been on it as well as there was more than those three. Maybe Alvin Robertson and Sidney, It would take me finding it and a VHS player to confirm, lol.

Coach Partridge is still getting used to Twitter.
Tweeted this a bit ago:
Charlie Partridge @CoachPartridge:
Can you swing by here so I can unpack while we have a couple? Bldg 1500-101"
And then followed up with this 15 minutes later:
Charlie Partridge @CoachPartridge:
Just learned if you reply to a Twitter text by accident it becomes a tweet. Recruiting Coordinator Chris Hauser coming over to get to work!"

I posted this in a thread on the coaching board, but heard very good chance Bob Bostad is named TE coach/recruiting coordinator tomorrow.

Gotdamn 2Beez is batting 1.000 5 HR's 3 triples and a double with a stolen base.

I know this is my first post on this board but finally moving over after getting tired of other places. Bostad looks to be a done deal. He will coach TE and is also expected to have an additional title to allow them to pay more. Could be recruiting coordinator, Co-OC, Assistant HC. Not really sure of the exact title. Hopefully we hear something soon.

This is bad arse. When was the last time we had a coaching staff this good?

re: the workout program by Herbert.
I'd buy that shite up in a second. Would love to have access to what they do. The only problem I see with it is generalizing the workouts too much. I'm assuming that the process of building athletes is a constantly changing one. I would bet he has those boys doing a shite ton of unconventional exercises and lots and lots of different stuff.

In the history of college football has there ever been a strength coach that the fanbase didn't cream themselves over?
Hell, even Decker was popular on the hill for a while.
Every single college team out there thinks their S&C coach is God's gift to the weight room and blah blah blah.
Our guy is not "special". He's just like the rest of them, and that is honestly plenty enough. No reason to jerk ourselves off because he grunts loud or makes scary faces. All S&C coaches have the same song and dance. We could fire this cat today, hire a new one this afternoon and we would all be boasting of how the new one is sooooooo incredible.

I'm hoping our guy turns out to be a good one. We are paying him as much as Bama does Cochran.
