Yeah I could see them maybe mentioning it at the beginning of the season in passing but I don't see them dwelling on it, especially since it isn't even the kid's fault.
Instead they will be talking about how he will break the 1000 yard mark in a season as a freshman.

Sort of off topic, but all this talk about Miami area mothers reminded me of this fantastic piece in the Washington Post about Gilbert Arenas:
If you're in the mood for a long read, you couldn't do much better than this.
quote:
Mary Francis Robinson stood behind a security guard a few feet from where the players shoot layups before games at American Airlines Arena in Miami. On the jersey of the player she last saw when he was 3 1/2 years old was the number 0. She heard once he wore that number "because people always said he wouldn't amount to nothin'." · "Gilbert!"
Robinson yelled. · The fledgling NBA star settled on the woman's gaze. · "Gilbert! I'm your mom! I'm your mom!"
Gilbert Arenas froze, did a double-take and returned to the layup line, shaken by the woman's words. After the game, Robinson persuaded one of his teammates to bring her by the team bus to meet Arenas. She collapsed in his arms, Arenas recalled, hugging him by the waist as he held the sobbing woman upright. Ashamed that she had abandoned him 18 years earlier, continuing to cry, she handed him a piece of paper with her telephone number on it.
It was Arenas's second season with the Golden State Warriors. He was not yet 21 years old. He kissed Robinson on the cheek, turned and walked away.
Four years later, Gilbert Arenas has yet to call his mother.
If you're in the mood for a long read, you couldn't do much better than this.

Well that's the biggest crock of horse shite ever.
In our media dominated world unfortunately more people are drawn to the negative than not. I'm not endorsing this, just stating a well known premise in advertising and marketing.

Truth. There's only two times people will continue to talk about this. The first is when he's the next big thing. There will be sit down interviews. Lesser reporters will ask "How did that make you feel?" The next time is when he's finishing up a heisman campaign. There will be sit down interviews. Accomplished reporters will ask "How did that make you feel?"

I wasn't saying you were and I wasn't meaning to take a shot at you. I apologize if it seemed that way. I was just saying why I didn't agree with that quote.

The main anchor at NBC6 tweeted that they were going to feed the interview to "NBC Fayetteville," so I guess it'll be on every Nexstar station in Arkansas.

So that's KARK, Fox 16, KNWA and whatever station it is they own in Monroe.

Maybe Collins just wanted more attention since Tencents tried to one up him the other night.

I love reading Miami fan tweets. They're tweeting the anchor that interviewed Collins and saying that their Rivals and Scout boards says he isn't signing tomorrow, yet they're so dumb to realize Collins told the anchor directly in a televised interview.
"Jon Gruden to Miami"
"Denver Kirkland to Miami"
"Matthew Thomas to Miami"
"Alex Collins to Miami"
Their payboards are some of the wrost I've ever seen.

I have a ton of respect for Collins for smiling and enjoying himself in this interview after the shite he went through today. I really hope I get to root for this kid as a hog. I also love that Big Dog t-shirt. I used to rock that brand daily back in the day.
