People should be able to enjoy themselves in downtown LR after dark, even if it's running or having drinks and dinner.

IF you stay on the main drag in the River Market, it's more than safe at 10:30 on a Saturday night.
I would not recommend going across any of the bridges on foot that late though.

Regardless of what happened, this is a sad story. So, I'm not trying to assign any blame on anyone with what I'm about to type at all and it's quite possible I've just watched one too many cop shows but something about this makes my nose wrinkle.
Maybe it's the fact that the mom checked in on him, maybe it's the fact that his brother said this "A little weird that he was running at night in a strange city, but he was trying to relieve some stress..."- I just don't know what to think and I'm curious if we'll find out the details on what happened.

This is why you never go out in LR at night by yourself. Hell this is why you don't go out in LR at all by yourself. Its getting really bad.
