Six year guys like Kody Walker redshirted as a freshman.

That is the only way to get to six years is after you RS as freshman you have another season ending injury late in career.

Even Kevin Richardson redshirted as a freshman but he won’t get six years with his injury ending his season last year.

Appeals seem harder and harder to get.

Why would Fisher or Porter transfer? They are true freshmen.

Changing of the guard, Porter is an undersized DL, and Fisher isn't a SEC LB

I think you might have Fisher and LaFrance mixed up.

There’s talent on this roster, potentially enough for a decent coach to win 7 or 8 next year.

We return quite a bit of talent at the skill positions on offense and the back 7/8 on defense contingent on scheme, in addition to what looks like a fairly decent kicker in Limpert. It’ll be interesting to see if we’ll be able to scheme around the offensive line (via the spread) and what our base defense is.

Arguably the biggest question mark is QB. Cole showed some moxie in his PT and starts, but he is extremely raw, makes poor decisions, and his mechanics are a mess. Here’s hoping the next coach can work ether him or Storey into a serviceable starter. Unless it’s Gus, in which case Hammonds might be our QB next year.

No to Storey. You think Kelley's mechanics are a mess.... come to a game and watch the QB's during pre game warm-up. Seriously, the QB depth chart after Mizzou should be-

Cole Kelley
Daulton Hyatt
Jack Lindsey
Ty Storey

Getting those big fish quarterbacks from little ponds seems to be a huge roll of the dice. He set Charleston on fire.

We were discussing LaFrance vs Fisher at LB not the 6-6 260 QB

The QB situation is pretty scary. Whoever the new coach is hopefully brings a QB with him to put with Noland in this class. Good time with open competition in spring for starter.

And for the record I’m not talking about Bohanon though he would add value to the overall roster. His raw throwing needs time and development.

He took a 3-9 team that was almost last place in all of fbs and turned it into an 8-3 team with a legit shot at winning the c-usa the next year. Advanced stats S+P+ rank FAU as 16th in the country right now too.

If in fact we get Gus, we must get Bohannon.

Houston Nutt took a 4-7 team and turned them into a 9-2 (regular season) team with a legit shot at winning the SEC the next year

If you look at how we’ve recruited, we actually have around 20 4 stars on our current roster. Now I’m not sure how many of those are returning, but that many 4 stars on an Arkansas team should be good for 8-9 wins. Say what you want about the injuries, but shouldn’t be THIS bad.

I’m encouraged by what we have; given we make the right hire that can energize these players.

Can’t get a medical if haven’t already RS'd I believe

Here are the requirements for a medical redshirt

The student-athlete must suffer the injury during one of their four seasons of college competition or during the senior year of high school.
The injury must be incapacitating. That means it must be a season-ending injury.
The injury must occur prior to the start of the second half of the season.
The student-athlete must not have competed in more than 30% of the season or three contests, whichever is greater

He got injured the third game of the season against Texas A&M. So, if those are total guidelines, Cornelius should be eligible for a medical redshirt.

QB (3) - Ty Storey, Cole Kelley and Daulton Hyatt
This coupled with an even worse Oline spells disaster next year.

WR (10) - Jonathan Nance, Brandon Martin, LaMichael Pettway, Deon Stewart, Kofi Boateng, Jordan Jones, Maleek Barkley, Jarrod Barnes, Koilan Jackson and DeVion Warren
Can't get seperation. I don't anticiapte that changing.

quote:

NG (2) - Austin Capps and Jonathan Marshall
DE (7) - Jake Hall, Michael Taylor, Armon Watts, T.J. Smith, McTelvin Agim, Briston Guidry and David Porter
There is talent here I believe. Just under-performing.

We lack speed at every level. We need to recruit speed, speed, and more speed. In short I believe the offense will be a complete disaster next year and the D will be average.

Connor Noland is going to come in and lead us to the promise land.
