Who is going to play the 5 next season for Anderson?

There's rumblings Chaney is feeling the need for better development, and the impression is he feels he'll get that elsewhere.

Using Chaney almost exclusively as a Gafford sub for the majority of the season, while Gabe and Bailey played significant minutes contributing less than zero on offense should be enough to make one question Mike's judgement... much less every other bonehead decision he's made over the past 8 years.

On another note - watching last night's game I was reminded of when Arkansas actually had an electric environment for basketball games... those days are LONG gone.

Why even recruit guys like Gabe and Harris or Bailey ? Sure they can defend well and Harris handles the ball really well. But none of those guys can shot the ball. Harris cost us a W last night. I could hit as many open looks as he gets and I"m 50.

Because ae care more about turning people over than having a good half court offense.

Harris

Has been a good addition. Most teams dont have 5 scorers. Our offense with Harris on the bench is considerably worse than it already is.

Gabe and Bailey are the typical projects Mike always lands, and rarely pan out. Bailey really should be at another level than what hes been playing at.

Everyone on the roster should feel this way because it's 100% true.

There won't be a next season.

Oh yes there will be. Even if he loses out they're not going to fire him this year. It's just not happening.

If that's the case then Yurachek needs to start packing as well.

If he loses out and keeps his job they will be playing in front of the same size crowds as the women

It's almost as if the testosterone has completely bled out of the GOBN.

The fricktards holding up the 'no losing seasons' as some sort of banner to stand behind is pathetic.

How about 'no relevant seasons'. Just as accurate and more telling about where the program truly is.

Women’s team has more SEC wins than the men’s.

Lmao nah. We'll never average less than 10k per game. People are too emotionally invested like myself.

If you were really 'emotionally' invested, one would think you'd be done with the inferiority of the product you're invested in, and do what you could to instigate positive change.

Instead, you're just 'invested', because what would you do otherwise.

They are invested in feelings and nostalgic memories and trying to recreate the past.

It’s why we are in this situation with a coach who hasn’t adapted in coaching, recruiting or the current social media meta.

Morris is having to do catchup all while flipping the roster and the next basketball coach will too. Especially if Mike brings in 3-4 JUCOs this spring and is back next year.

Actually, that's pretty much where I'm at regarding the basketball program...

But unlike some of the dimmer bulbs lighting up BWA I've figured out the current coaching staff isn't in any way, shape, form or fashion bringing any past glory back to life.

Eddie Sutton created nostalgic memories of the basketball program for me as well... not just Nolan.

To cling to a piece of the past in the hopes that it will get you something similar now, when it's proven over and over it's incapable of doing so is the definition of Insanity.

If the AD doesn't fire him it's going to get bad next season. Maybe even Houston Nutt level bad. Mike deserves better than that.

Not if he wins. That's the one thing people are neglecting is what if he does well next season? Sweet 16 or better? What would happen to Mike after that?
