It wouldn’t. I want to enjoy the greatest time of the year far more than I want to be right about Sam being too nice of a guy and in over his head. He needs a safety blanket, saw Odom leaving so he brought in a new one, instead of trying to keep Briles or going after Mullen with a big swing.

He talks about Loyalty but how loyal is it to seek a raise every season after mediocrity, loyalty is why he didn’t try to keep Briles.

He does seem like a fun guy to have a beer with; if that made good coaches, we would have stumbled on the next Nick Saban.
