The GDRC Golf and Spring Rally was yesterday. I was only able to attend the dinner portion, since I had to work. Coach Morris was the guest speaker. I was really hoping Coach Musselman was going to be to make it. I was told he was out recruiting somewhere.

I'll post pictures when I get a chance. I got pics with Coach Morris, Tori Hunter, Quinn, and Coach Mark Smith. Tony Bua and Brandon Dean were there, but I was unable to catch them. Coach Morris and Smith are both very personable. You can easily tell Coach Morris is passionate for what he does and has big plans. His daughter will be starting her Master's at the UA this year. He spoke about what it's like being a parent and having your son recruited while also trying to recruit him. He joked around that he could get Chandler and the mom a car or two and wouldn't in trouble with the NCAA. LOL. I asked him afterwards what kind of car he would get Chandler for recruiting purposes. He said he'd take the Alabama route and get him a Dodge Charger or Challenger. LOL.

As far as the rest of CCM's speech, he really harped on that they are still changing the culture. He owns to the first year being a huge disappointment. He said there were too many guys that loved themselves more than actually loved being a Razorback. He said it needs to be an honor to wear the uniform and not something you think you deserve.

You can tell he has huge aspirations for the new incoming class. He specifically mentioned Trey Knox and Mataio Soli. Coach Mark Smith told me he expects Nick Starkel to arrive July 1st and that he has already been deep diving into the play book.

With the daughter going to the UA, I think it really does enhance the chances of Chandler being at the UA, since that will basically mean the whole family can finally move to Fayetteville. I think that will be a big factor in his recruiting if he decides to play for his dad.

Thanks for the report, too tough for me to go to on a Monday night. I haven’t been to one since Bielema left, he was fun to be around in that setting. How was the crowd?

It was ok, maybe just over a 100+. I would have expected a little more to be honest, but I get it especially after last season.

So there was officially 145 at the dinner last night. It didn't seem like that much, but maybe it was.
