Alabama just lost to their rival Auburn. Our recruits are no where near Auburns. Look, I don't hate Gus, but I want a guy doing more with less than a guy doing as he should with what he has.

Woah. I'm not making excuses. It's just a fact. Kudos to Gus and Auburn.

The larger point I was driving at with that post is that despite beating Alabama, Auburn still isn't in the hunt for any titles.

Why? Because Gus doesn't win enough. Their fans want him fired every other week. The problem with Gus being a coach here is that our job is harder than the Auburn job.

I think the people that are so gung ho over wanting to hire Gus here are blinded to reason in this for some reason. My judgment of the situation tells me that Gus would lose 4 games a year here and maybe more like 5.

He is a middling hire at best and I think Arkansas can do a whole hell of a lot better.

Gus brings the added problem of half the state already hating his guts.

And this is all academic anyways because he won't ever be the coach here. We all know it too. This is just unnecessary drama.

6-6 and losing his sixth straight Apple Cup? Yeah I doubt that fanbase would riot if he left.

He’s one of their best coaches ever, if not the best. 6-6 really isn’t a bad year for them given their history.

But if getting Gus in a down year is sloppy seconds how does that not apply to Leach this year?

Lat, would you take Gus over Campbell, Kiffin, or Norvell?

Neither Malzahn nor Leach are in serious consideration for the job.

Gus Malzahn is the the third highest paid coach to never win a national title. Of the two ahead of him, one is about to fired (Harbaugh) and the other has three straight division titles.

Gus is overpaid, underproduces AND helped saddle us with Chad Morris. You'd have to be a complete fricking idiot to think that Malzahn would be a good fit at Arkansas

Do you think paying $8 Million a year for 6 to 7 wins a year is a good idea Lat? I mean, that's what Gus would give us.

Because basically zero Washington State fans want him gone. That’s not sloppy seconds, that’s stealing a coach.

Lol. He was 11-2 last year. I’m pretty sure he’s not on the hot seat.

What scenario to you envision Gus coming to Arkansas? We offer $10 million? After he gets fired from barner? It’s not happening.

I was high on Leach. I think he is on the downhill slide at this point.

I don't want him or Gus.

No and I’ve said that multiple times. I would take him over a lot of people though, and certainly wouldn’t be mad if we hired him.

Bama has 500+ yards? But you just told me Gus wins with defense? I’m confused. Please advise.

Oh. I thought you watched the game, since you asked me if I had. There were also two pick sixes by the Auburn defense. The difference in the game ended up being a gift field goal that never should have happened. I’m sure you can catch a replay sometime.

Name-calling. The message board white flag.

Another one bites the dust of logic. Hate to see it.

“Gus wins with fantastic defenses” -you 20 minutes after Auburn won despite giving up 40+ points and 500 yards. Step away from the keyboard son

apparently you don't read your own fricking posts.. which is probably a good thing.

You just need to shut the frick up about your Gus fetish or just go be a sub on the Aubbie board.
