It's just too hard to track down all of the "sky is falling" posts and keep tabs. If you want Morris fired or already 100% believe he's the wrong guy, sign here. We'll revisit the thread in 3 or 4 years.

Me? I'm of the opinion that you can't hate the previous coach for the DISASTROUS state he left the program and simultaneously demand more from the person inheriting said disaster.

Morris needs more time, significantly more, before we'll know how good he can be with legitimate SEC talent, of which we have very little.

I don't want him canned. I'm not thrilled about the season so far, though I do like the recruiting. I'll give him a couple of years to right the ship. I'm more concerned about his coordinators.

Craddock is a bit wet behind the ears and is usually good for a couple of WTH calls every game. The Chief is a legend but the defense just gave up somewhere around the middle of the third quarter.

Its going to be a Death March through the season. I firmly believe we are going to have to turn over most of the roster to compete in the SEC and that is going to take some of those stellar recruiting classes.

If I gave Bert 5 years, I can give Chad 6.

This roster is full of seniors ready to bounce and select underclassmen who aren't buying in and learning the playbook.

When you have seasoned WR's lined up right beside another WR that is on the LOS and don't even have the thought process of knowing you need to be off or on the LOS, its time to go. The simple rules of football are taught to these guys at a young age, especially a WR.

This is why only 20%, or however much of Morris' playbook is only installed. We aren't smart enough or either we don't care enough to learn where we need to be lined up. Then, we aren't smart enough to figure things out on the fly, like "hey I need to get off the LOS because Jordan here is on the LOS" or "Hey I need to be on the LOS here because Jordan, CJ are both off the LOS and we have a QB and RB in the backfield"

I don't want him fired year 1. In my mind he should be at a minimum of 7 wins at the end of year 4 or GTFO.

There are some coaching WTF's that are concerning but will wait to reserve total judgement until he gets his players in here.

His recruiting looks great but does it translate to wins?

I'm all in for Hammer Down, GOBN knew what they were doing when they went after him.

Waiting for his players to get on campus

Its one thing to lose but can't stand players that won't give effort.

Morris is going to need an impact from incoming freshmen like Petrino got from his first incoming freshmen class in Childs, Gragg, Adams, and Wright. Insert Ryan and you had 7 regular season wins and a bowl win.

Schedule next season will give up those wins, but it will also give up arse whooping at Bama and LSU.

Getting a Kelly Bryant will help this move a year ahead quicker. On the offensive side...how hard would it be to defend a runner in KB and a RB in Boyd? Oh...the possibilities.

Just have to deal with shootouts because that defense is still going to be bad against the likes of Ole Miss, Bama, State, Missouri, and Auburn.

I think Morris is going to be fine. The defense may continue to be slightly atrocious just due to the offense but you can see that his offense is going to put points on the board in a hurry once he’s got his guys.

It’s entirely too early to be drawing conclusions on Morris, but this is hogwash.

It wasn’t Bielema that told us he was going to go out and get the best DC in the country, with energy and fire to meet his own, and then hired multiple retread Chavis, Basset hound eyes and all.

It wasn’t Bielema who started Kelley, and rode him and the team into the ground when he proved he couldn’t cut it.

It wasn’t Bielema who stood silent, as a senior receiver called out the fans for booing as this was happening, and not acknowledging that it was the fact that Kelley was being trotted out after throwing 4 picks that brought the boo birds out.

And it’s not Bielema that has a team that gets 2 or 3 flags per game just because they can’t seem to get in a legal formation with 3 games to go in the season.

We have every right to demand more of this coach. Yes he was handed a shite sandwich, but it’s not like he didn’t know that coming in. Pointing out the places where he is failing is not calling for his head, just like pointing out where the players are failing isn’t calling for them to be cut from the team. This is not an all or nothing proposition, and can’t be for people who are honest about what they see.

Anyone ready to fire a coach after one season needs a brain transplant. You have to allow a coach at least three full seasons before (possibly) making a decision. It takes time to root out a previous administration’s soft mentality, and to get players in that are designed to run the new coach’s type of a system.

I can tell tChad is frustrated, but I suspect with the recruits that are committed and from what I’ve seen overall with recruiting, things should get substantially better. Lord knows we (as fans) need some success.

I don't want Coach Chad Morris - the man who built his name as an OC at Clemson and top notch recruiter fired.

I want Aggie Bert and Texas Nutt fired. Losing at Colorado State was Aggie Bert. Running a draw play on 3rd and long yesterday was Texas Nutt.

If he can get rid of those 2 personas then we will be fine.

I'm also interested in seeing how he approaches his coaching staff moving forward. I understand that talent is an issue but Craddock might need to have the play calling duties taken away.

That is the most damning part.

It takes ZERO talent to avoid procedural penalties. Lining up with too many in the backfield - calling timeout because you can't get lined up on special teams - gifting a first down to the opposition b/c you have duplicate numbers on the field during punt return.

What the hell are you doing during practice?!??!!

Put down the red bull and f'n focus. Get your coaches sorted out and have your shite together.

Getting a Kelly Bryant
At the risk of being hyperbolic - getting Kelly Bryant might save this program.... and I'm not even talking about wins and losses.

The hype and media coverage that would follow his transfer would bring excitement. Fans are worn out. Mallett injected enthusiasm into this program - Bryant will do the same.

It's called HC experience, Chad has very little and it shows. Why didn't he take a shot downfield before halftime?

3 things could've happened and 2 of them would've been better than what he did. Complete a pass or draw a PI.

Another WTF coaching moment.

It's now clear that Chad is in way over his head and he's not ready for this job. I thought he did a good job of keeping the team together earlier in the season but now he's lost them. We are the worst team in the conference and one recruiting class isn't going to change that when it's the 10th best class in the league. We burned the entire program down for this and now it's looking like a really foolish decision.

Morons say we shouldn't join the Big 12 because "the money," but we just spent about $35 million to fire Long and Bielema and spent $160 million on a stadium expansion when we should have been downsizing. I think we'll be fine with less money to set on fire.

The expansion/renovation should have had downsizing in the plans. Permanent chairbacks should have been placed throughout the lower bowl outside of the visitors and student section. Make them big and wide for the typical Arkansan build. This would reduce capacity by at least 4k. Then we should have found a way to chop off the top 10 rows of the 500s and installed a roof system like this:

Finally - we should have sold all of the DJ - music player equipment and used the money for a new band director and increased our band size by about 200 members. NO MORE CANNED MUSIC.... not even during pre game - players have head phones on anyways so cut the bs about doing it for the players.

Speaking of Long.... Kansas beat TCU yesterday and there is a very real chance that Kansas - the worst P5 program in the nation will end up with more wins than us.

Long should have talked up wms fans and made them feel special so we wouldn't have to deal with Hunter Collectacheck.

I'm just ready for DVH to go ahead and take over the AD position.

Spend whatever it takes to accommodate the NWA people, they need top of the line stuff before they can show up

The damn music mix played constantly adds to the shite season. It's loud and annoying as frick.

We need him simply as a recruiter if for nothing else. Bret left this team to Chad. Chad will leave a better team to his successor if we let him get his players in.

Yep. And I know that it's not the AD or program's fault but there are way too many commercial breaks.

The worst thing to ever happen to college football (athletics) is TV.

It over-inflated budgets which led to dumb salaries.

It created an increased # of t-shirt and bandwagon fans - being a fan of a local program is a thing of the past.... you can be a fan of any program anywhere you are.

It detached the everyday fan by giving them a lazy way to be a fan. Fans who normally would be forced to attend b/c of zero coverage can now stay at home.

It pisses off the alumni, diehards, and donors. Many fans are fed up with commercial breaks. We come to watch football - regardless of how bad it is - not some guy in a red hat hold up a clock on the 25.
