Yes, very dramatic as you can see the petunias barely escaping to high ground towards the left there.

Fayetteville got as much rain as anybody.

Fayetteville also has strict stormwater mitigation requirements, and a streamside protection ordinance, both are explicitly intended to mitigate the effects of flooding.

Sorry for partying.

this is actually true. Not to mention the awareness of pollution in storm drains. Little Rock is trying to emulate this, at least with the pollution side of things. Anyone in Little Rock feel free to help out with making the fourche creek watershed better.

Fourche creek is the best free dump in all of Central Arkansas, especially down behind the old drive in theater

Why mess up a good thing with a fake cleanup effort.

A new group of hippy wannabes show up every year claiming they are going to clean up Fourche, but 90% of them never return after getting stoned and filling up 1 trash bag with trash.

Let's face it, it's our dump and will always be that way. I do like to float it when big rains come in, the washing machines and tires just add to the difficulty.

Yea it's a complicated problem. Just trying to clean the creek doesnt solve anything because noone knows how to get people to stop dumping in the creek other than some prison state camera system or monitored entry points. On top of that 73% of little rock drains into the creek. Really complicated problem with no easy solutions.

Eta: there are recycling centers for tires and broken machines. If you dont feel like spending the dump fees just take it to a recycling center to dispose of it for free.

Having security cameras to prevent a known problem is tantamount to living in a prison state? lmao

You realize that tires and machines make great fish habitats. Just because you want it to look a certain way, doesn't mean it's the right way.
