IDGAF to look that up. Fact is, he's a great coach, coaching in a ridiculously great baseball conference. Our potential with him as HC will always be great.

He's forgotten more about coaching than any coach that we have on the hill knows.

I'm fully prepared to give Chad and company three years before I call for them to be shown the door.

That having been said, this article from earlier in the season by the Rock City Times (Our finest, and only, satire site) pretty well sums up the entire season.

Scott Frost: The hottest name in the coaching changes of last season, as he got off to the worst start in Nebraska history, it was "look at Scott, things could be worst", well at the time maybe, but his team was able to improve as the season went along to a 4-8 mark with 3 wins in the B1G.

Show of hands, who thinks the level of competition is the same between the B1G and the SEC? Me neither.

Mister Asparagus up on ole rocky top was able to finish 5-7 overall and 2-6 in the SEC.

Show of hands, who thinks the level of competition is the same between the SEC West, and the SEC East? Me neither.

While Willie Taggart led FSu to their first season without a bowl* since Bobby Bowden's second season at 5-7, he still managed to win 3 games in conference.

Show of hands, who thinks the level of competition is the same between the ACC and the SEC? Me neither.

Did you know that every SEC team in won at least 1 game in conference except Chad and Arkansas?

So Arkansas is the worst team in the SEC West, probably the entire SEC, and one of the worst in the country. Not the first time, and won't be the last. With the exception of a year or two with Nutt, and a year or two with Petrino, we've pretty much sucked arse since coming to the SEC. Bad years put us near the bottom of this league. Just the way it is.

quote:

Did you know that a 1-8, 3-9 record is unacceptable at Kansas? A 0-8, 2-10 record is unacceptable at Rutgers and Louisville? Yet 2-10, 0-8 is more than acceptable for Arkansas now.

Nobody says that, and nobody believes that. Not even you. Nor do you believe that Kansas, Rutgers, or Louisville would kick a first year coach after a shitty season like that, because it's program suicide. The decision was made. I wanted someone else when it happened. But all we can do now is give Morris 3-4 years to see if he can cut it. Anything else is a disaster, and there is no sense inflicting that on ourselves, when it's already been done to us a couple of times in the last decade.

quote:

Chad will be the only HC returning to a team that not only gave up, lost more games than the should, but most importantly showed very little effort throughout the season. Its one thing to not have the talent to compete at a high level, circumstances are beyond a new head coach's control in that area. Effort or more importantly playing players who show effort on the field is something completely in control of a head coach no matter how long they have been with the program, that is something we did not see out of a long list of players for the entire season, their effort was non-existent yet their snaps remained.

Think about this for a second. You have people like you calling for his head for going 2-10, and not winning a conference game. On the other hand, you want him to play underclassmen, which virtually guarantees losses in this league. Obviously, Morris was doing whatever he could to win a game. From your statement, you have given yourself free reign to go nuclear, regardless of what he did. If he plays freshmen, and loses every game, he's a shitty coach. If he plays what should be his best players to try to win a game, he's a shitty coach.

quote:

Chad's seat should be on fire going into year 2, anything less than a bowl game with a schedule that includes:

Wow.

quote:

Bowl game or Chad is yet another "Texas High School Legend" bust on the collegiate level.

And wow again. Might want to think about what kind of coach would want to come into the SEC West under the kind of conditions you are demanding. If yours becomes the prevailing attitude, we might as well jump to Conference USA, or scrap the football program completely.

East actually had a winning record vs. the West this year for the first time in forever. We wouldn't have won a game in the East either though to be honest.

It's closer this year, for sure.
