Hogs handle business easily
Under-seeded USF beats over-seeded Washington in the last inning
If we handle business at 2:30 we are set up well.
Always amazed at how elite arms can go 3-400 pitches in a weekend. USF and Wisconsins aces went for over 100 each in game 1.

Vs USF for the supers tomorrow. Bad news for USF, Herrin didn’t even get warmed up good today and Burnham is on a days rest.

Arizona also blasted #12 Duke in Durham who we are paired with, 10-1. Duke will have to win twice now or we'll once again get the lower seeded team in the supers.

Still remember Arizona coming to Bogle in 2021 and kicking our arse in the Supers.
It really is amazing how many home Supers the softball team has lost, considering its overall success (21, 22, and 25). Hopefully this is the year we finally get over the hump.

Looking like Duke will complete the comeback, up 7-2 in game 7.
No idea just how good Duke is but ranked #12 and went 20-4 in the ACC so gotta be decent.

The only things I didn’t love from this weekend were -
Herron only throwing 3 innings and didn’t look super sharp during those 3 innings. Hope there’s not something more going on there (injury, illness, etc). Was surprised we went back to Timmerman yesterday instead of Herron after we pulled Burnham.
Bell didn’t have a good weekend at the plate at all. We can’t afford another Ellis going cold in the post-season situation this year. Obviously our lineup is a lot more spread out this year than last but still.

Duke looks like they can hit but pitching isn't strong.

Herrin knocked out after 1 2/3 innings and giving up 2 homers. Hogs down 3-2.
Absolutely horrible playing conditions today. light rain has the circle a muddy mess, and changing out balls every other pitch.

I am not sure how you expect a pitcher to grip a ball.
eta, and now they delay it after herrin obviously couldn't grip the ball and was throwing wild, and just having to put them over the plate.
