Mellow Mushroom?
it's my favorite pizza place. Gusanos is a close second though.

The Thai Dye at mellow mushroom, and the BBQ chicken pizza at US are my 2 favorites.

Good stuff. Also, try the Dave's Favorite. It's my new go-to.

I had a lunch burger at Art's Place friday.
I recommend going for it, especially on days that you haven't showered yet.
Too smoky, but we sat in a booth in the back and it wasn't too bad. 7 bucks, burger ground with bacon, fries, etc. Greatness.

I tried Apple Blossom Brewing Company on Zion Rd.
This is another new brew pub in north Fayetteville over by Lake Fayetteville.
Very small menu. Lots of homebrews. Its a partnership with some of the guys from Smoke & Barrel Tavern and some other places.
I didn't have any of their beer, but I had the seared ahi tuna salad and it was superb. Especially for 10 bucks at lunch.
Over the past three years, Fayetteville has become microbrew heaven.

Do you go to J.T.'s place in the old gas station that was ran by the chill homo Lynn?
I think it's called Town Branch or something Branch.

Wait a minute....the homo Lynn.
Is that the guy who manages the White Oak on Gregg now?
And Tanglewood Branch Brewing Co. I have been. Its way out of my general area of town, so I hardly make it. I'd have to drive past Dickson an the Square to get there and I rarely ever make it to south Fayetteville unless I'm giving an out of towner a tour.
The university is establishing a new arts district in the warehouses behind the Farmer's Co-Op right there at MLK where the Frisco Trail extension is going in. This is just south of the Mill condos and Greenhouse Grille and a few galleries.
That whole area is blowing up. A new set of condo/rowhouses just got approved right north of Walgreens, too.

Speaking of Greenhouse Grille I really like that place, for when I'm in the mood for really clean food.
Or if I am with a hippie chick. Usually there's some chill hippie band or jazz trio or something on most nights, too.

I ate at Burger Shack the other day, basically a straight rip off of 5 Guys, but it was good.
Green Sub is a must for any of yall who haven't tried it yet, trust me

I can also recommend Vetro 1925 Vetro Ristorante off the square definitely take your big boy wallet, though.
Everything I've had there was fantastic. I haven't been in a couple of months, though.
And my present favorito es Table Mesa.
As I'm sitting here a little drunk and thinking about all the great food in Fayetteville proper, I'm confident that it stacks up well against any other SEC city, regardless of size. Hell, any town of 70k with the restaurant options we have here should consider itself blessed.

Yuck.
One of my best buddies roomed with a dude that worked in their kitchen and probably still does. I couldn't bare to eat the soy/vegan/horseshite he'd make. It'd always be followed with having to listen to new recordings of his equally shitty electro-funk-progressive-folk-dance band.
I have a completely irrational expectation of that place and I'd probably really enjoy it but many of the pretensious artsy people I get along with yet just don't quite fit in with kinda worship that place, so I associate all kinds of evil and disguist with it.

Yeah, compared to when I moved to Fayetteville in 99 it's so much better now.
Plus you can drive up to Rogers/Bville and get a ton of stuff not offered in Fayetteville which is a nice change of pace. Not that you'd ever even need to nowadays though

You talking Greenhouse or Vetro?
Posted on 7/21/13 at 11:59 pm to Hubbhogg
I had burger shack. Don't they stack up the potato sacks and everything too? Seems like I remember that. Or maybe I'm thinking of 5 guys up in Rogers.... I haven't been to Green Submarine. West side is also off my radar most of the time. I've never hit that or Burger Patti. Both are places people keep recommending. And I've never done east side grill or bistro. Basically what I am saying is that Fayetteville only exists for me from the Square, up College to Joyce and back down.

There's that element to Greenhouse, but my meal there is usually something like a buffalo steak or a grass fed KC strip. I eat meat there. Their salads and stuff are just uber fresh. They have their own farm for frick's sake.

Greenhouse. I actually really like the folks behind Vetro. Everyone from the owner(s) to the marketing chick to the architects, they all have a great attitude and aren't ruined by the local bullshite yet.
Green Submarine, my 9 yr old nephew told me all of their food was made with diarrhea, so we ended up going to Backyard Burgers instead, and it, ironically, gave me the rhia.

Trust me on Green Sub. They run out of bread before 5pm on most days it's ridiculous. Everything I've had from there is awesome, but my favorite is the Philly with a side of Au jus, so damn good.
I know the owners of Greenhouse, good peeps, I just don't go there much. I liked what I had at Table Mesa as well.
With Flying Burrito moving to Dickson it will be interesting to see who makes it. Don't see Chipotle going failing so it's either Jose's, Qdoba or Flying Burrito. With the latter two going head to head for the late night business Im thingk Qdoba ultimately fails but who knows

I refuse to go to Backyard Burgers in Fayetteville. Its within 1/2 mile of my house, but I avoid it like the plague. I find it detestable. I beat that Wendy's next door the frick up, though.

You treat Fayetteville like it's Houston or OKC only going in your local little 3 mile radius.
