He made Tennesse more competitive in the SEC than they had been since the early, mid 2000s.

Lane is my number 1. We need someone who can bring in players. I think he’s the best option to do that.

2007 they went 10-4, 2008 Fulmer tanked at 5-7 which in today's football world might have played in a bowl game.
Hamilton the Tenner AD couldn't handle the 2 losing season in 4 years and shite canned Fulmer.
Now look at them.
This next hire if in fact Bert is fired is important for the above reason.
