No they wouldn’t, when they’re attempting to take away the run as well. Cincinnati played under cover 2 damn near the entire game. 2 safeties over the top. LB matches up with TE or RB.

Cover 3 is straight zone. Cincy tried to play more man yesterday to have more freedom in the box. Not once did they play cover 3, that I recall.

Why can't people disagree around here without talking shite?
BTW, cover 2 absolutely helps to stop the long pass, especially on the edges and if your safety is fast enough he can play up some to disguise the coverage, while giving a run help look before dropping back to his zone.

Yea…congrats on google…now go find me a coach that makes some damn bracket coverage call. Not happening. Find a player that played for any DC that ran whatever the hell you googled. Good luck…

I don’t think I ever saw them in a cover 3 defense yesterday. They ran under cover 2, under cover 1, and over cover 2 pretty much the entire game. They never got into cover 3 even before the half. Do you even know what cover 3 is?
