While a couple money people love the guy, I don't think he would ever get approved for hire by the PTB within the University.
Will he be contacted to passify them? Possibly, it would be smart too, a lot of money is needed to finance the past two weeks.
Personally, I think the bigger money putting all their eggs in the Gus basket will cause their voice in the matter to be muted going forward. After "oh yeah, we will consider hims", the advice in the decision making in the manner will again be coming from Dallas.
