His D at Texas has been pathetic and he is a Defensive coach.

I want a better situation than we currently have. I don't believe Strong is such.

All of that higher recruiting rankings and his d sucks.

JMHO of course..

I like CS, but not sure he would be good here either way. Although the chances are slim to begin with!

So is Bret. Mcelwain is an offensive coach with a shitty offense. Dan Mullen is an offensive coach with a shitty offense. Barry Odom is a defensive coach with a shitty defense.

I don't understand how it's so hard for people to understand that a head coach hardly ever directly controls the part of the team that he has history in. Not every coach is Bobby Petrino. Most head coaches let their coordinators coordinate. Charlie Strong has a great history as a DC and that's what should be considered when he's a candidate for a DC job.

With what we've been recruiting Charlie wouldn't take the Arkansas DC job.

He is a horrible coach; anyone that's watched any of their games can tell you that.

But he has been directly coaching and play calling the D the last 5 games

And he's been the special teams coach ALL year; look up how bad they've been

Do ya'll not think it's already Paul Rhodes' job? I'm sure he'll be in the discussion.

Everything I've heard is Rhodes wants to be just a position coach.

It's like Shannon, he was a bad hc and has no desire to be a D.C. again right now...
