Bazzel, "we're in the entertainment business, Steinmetz, Stay out of football"

Stein and Fagg need to sit down and shut the heck up. We’re in this mess because of them. Let HY do his job.

I'd be fine with either Kiffin or Norvell. Kiff has more power 5 experience and could probably pull from a larger pool of assistants. Both have good offensive minds. Both would put butts in the seats. Norvell may be a higher risk but in the long run have a higher ceiling while Kiffin would certainly stabilize the program.

If I were making the call I'd go with Norvell first and if he turned it down go with Kiffin second. I just think Mike would eventually win big here. Kiffin would be more Nutt like and Norvell would wind up being more like Bobby, record wise. I just think Mike is going to end up being the better of the two.

No, I will not stay out of football. There isn't ANY DOUBT in my mind that I have watched more football than ANY of the BOT members. Put me in a room with any of them and I will destroy them in a discussion.

If you want people to stay out of football, own up to your failure and do better this time. The only way to silence the critics is to make a successful hire.

Bazzel said in the interview that he "heard it through the grapevine". To me, it sounds like he's getting worked up over a rumor, though the rumor does sound like something that could have been said, although he apparently doesn't know it to be a fact.

But regardless, Bazzel is right.

I did DJ work on the radio years ago and would blow the majority of Arkansas media to pieces. Just need relevant info continually.

But, his point remains the same. GET OUT OF THE ATHLETICS, and stick to what you know.

I am glad he invited Petrino back, Petrino did it free of charge and all the funds went to the club for the Arkansas Sports hall of fame.

I am glad Baz does things to keep momentum going as well. I agree the BLT was a bit dumb, but God bless him for trying.

Dude is a Hawg through and through. But also tries to entertain for what he can. So....
