I miss Arkansas basketball. I miss 40 minutes of hell.

I have been a Mike supporter. I cried when he was hired.

I love Mike. I always will. Him, Nolan, The whole damn 94 staff and team. I was 13. Just starting to grasp things. It was magical year and a major moment in my life.

Mike has had what? 8 years? I don't even pay attention anymore. Basketball has become an after thought to football. It was King back in the day.

8 years is 2 x the length a football coach should get. Turning things around in football is slower. Basketball program turnarounds are 1-2-3 years in today's environment and recruiting game.

Mike just can't get it done. It is time for change. I long for some fast exciting basketball. Give me Pitino flaws and all. I would take the chance on what I considered Nolan's Nemesis at the time. Even Chris Beard would work. I don't know his style, as I don't pay much attention, but wins are wins.

I have had 3 25 ounce cans of budweiser & Clamato Picante 5%
That's a 6 pack and 1/4 beer of 5%...

and about quarter fifth of Fireball.

I feel pretty damn good.

Mike has about run out of excuses. APR, players that left early, young... those are valid for a little while. And eventually excuses turn into reasons.

I'd like for him to turn it around, I don't think we could find a better person as a representative of the university, or with more integrity (as far as I know.)

But at the end of the day, these facts remain after 8 years:

The team is not winning like it should (we should consistently be in the top third of the conference IMO.)

We are not relevant on the national scene.

We lose at home.

We are not selling out games, which is what will eventually get HY's attention.

Dude.. Remember this video that was making the rounds??

Mike Comin' Home

Little emotional myself on that day.. sucks that it hasn't worked out.

We had to hire mike, we had to try it. It didn't work. It's time to do what has to be done again.

You can tell you were drunk because everything you posted has been said about ten thousand times in the past month.

Lost me when you said you cried when he was hired.... Geez. I love the Hogs but I've never cried over them. Now I threw a wall eyed fit from hell when Petrino was fired. But after suffering through over a decade of that stupid mother fricker who was clueless about the practice of the play action pass. I was pissed. We were winning.

I was happy to see Mike hired bc I enjoyed watching his style of play. And I still do. But he has got to stop recruiting athletes and just recruit basketball players. And he has got to start recruiting on a National level top kids.
