Yeah, I have a hard week ahead of me. I usually do M,W,F. This week it has to be Tue,Wed,Thur. He's out of town today and I'm headed to Abilene for the Outlaws and Legends Festival Friday. I did this last week and it was brutal for me. I'm going to be prepared this time, though.

It varies.

Keep in mind I do HIIT modified so this might not be what you want!

For core/core days... this past week

Run (distance based but i woukd say 5 minutes), 50 regular sit ups, 200 bicycle crunches, 40 glute swings each side, 30 (3) count mountain climbers, 20 full burpees, 40 baby burpees spread leg, 150 half crunches, 50 full crunches legs extended, 40 leg lifts each side.

All of that is without a break

Run again.

Repeat all of the above.

That's core/core. The other days are arms/core and legs/core.

We did legs Wednesday and he amped it up. Awful. 50 squats, 50 calf raises, distance lunges (tree to tree lol) repeat than from tree to tree 5 times.

Then we went into core. Lol

I got tired just reading that.

quote:

200 bicycle crunches

Each leg count as 1 or back/forth=1?

quote:

20 full burpees

With pull-up?

Whatever the case, that is impressive. I'll try it out because it sounds exhausting, but I doubt I'll be able to make it through. Thanks for sharing

Starting week 3 workouts today. The workouts get progressively harder every 2 weeks, so I'm anxious to see how much more intense they get. First round was fairly easy.

Checking in...just joined Crossfit here in Fayetteville Wednesday and its...kicking my butt! Been sitting on the sidelines enjoying the good life of laying around, endless sodas, and eating whatever I want the past 3 years. Got up to 210, luckily my metabolism still has some spunk left and I didn't look like a complete Jabba the Hut, decided to jump back in the game and boy did I get my tail whipped. Well worth it, pretty fun and very challenging.

You've shed the initial extra weight. How have you slimmed down on your measurements?

To beat the plateau you have to change up the routine a bit, extend your cardio by 15 minutes. Just make sure you're still burning 2-3x more calories than you're taking in and the losses will continue. Sometimes a fasting diet will help jumpstart weight loss when reaching a plateau. It's basically starving yourself for a few days, so the body uses the fat reserves.

Awesome!! It always does but the fact it is still coming off is what matters!

My son noticed my back and arms yesterday when I put my bike up on my rack. Had him take a pic. it's not much but I have made major progress with my back/shoulders/arms and I'm pretty damn happy. I posted a pic on twitter. Don't get too excited, it's just my back, I cut out my bottom half and I'm clothed.

Love seeing progress! I have a long way to go, though.

Goals.

The only problem with fasting is the fact your body DOES go into starvation mode, which usually ends up being counter productive in the long run. That's why breakfast is important for weight loss and most builders and athletes eat many small meals.

My metabolism shifted big time and basically forced me to start eating several smaller meals a day. It's even turned into when I eat my protein and carbs on a schedule. A right pain in the arse... :-/

I'm satisfied with my progress. I'm increasing my workouts and enjoying the process. I think I'll lose 8-10 lbs in April putting me in the low 230lb range.

I was on sabbatical, but I've kept up with the workouts. I even set a personal best pace for a 1hr ride.

I haven't worked out hard in about 2 weeks, but I am down about 12 pounds since I started. Just dropped back below 180 for the first time in 2 1/2 years.
