I will post my goal pics. I have 2. 1 is first stage...the 2nd is long term and will take time. i put lines on the first one to show where I'm similar to this pic. I'm pretty damn close and damn proud of getting to this point. My arms lost almost all tone due to injury, but I will get them back to looking good. I'm pretty fricking dedicated to this and want my body a certain way.

It's too soon to tell if the weight I've "gained" is real or if it's within the margin of error of my cheap scale. I also live on the top floor on a pre-war building, so it's hard to find a level place to measure my weight.

But, it looks like I've gained a pound or two, which is about on track for what I want. 1-2 lbs a month gain is what I'm looking for.

I'm losing fat and building muscle, so while there's no appreciable weight change, I'm happy with the progress made in my first month back.

Pure cardio done this afternoon.

So the heart rate monitor says my HR stays in the 155-165 range and the calorimeter says i burned 723 cal during the workout.

Does this seem right? Seems like an awful lot of cals inonly 40 min. Weight 233 btw

Its probably somewhat high, but I'm sure you burned several hundred, maybe 500. That said, I'm no guru.

Well, after complaining about pullups, I managed to increase my number of reps, even after increasing the weights I was doing for the lifts I do before I do my pullups. That's a big improvement.

My calorie counter says a 205lb man Burns 605 calories per hour during general aerobic activity. It doesn't go any higher than 205lbs, though. I'd guess by looking at the incriments you burned roughly 600 calories in 40min. A lot depends on the intensity though.

I just reread my last post. What a poorly written clusterfrick. I do did more weights doing than I did been done before!

150-160 heart rate seems fairly intense, right? I'd say it's more than 'moderate' at least. It's double the average resting heart rate.

That's why I said "roughly", well, one of the reasons. Heart rate is the best indicator of how intense the exercise is, but it's not the only thing to consider. If you're out of shape your heart rate will jump up pretty easily. Hell, some people are in such good shape they don't ever reach 150.

But yeah, I'd say getting your heart rate to 150-160 is at least moderate if you're in any kind of shape at all.

Insanity is certainly intense. During some of the moves I even spike near 170. 29yrs old so it's not an unhealthy rate.

Target or 85% HR is 162.
