Saw where Nebraska and Notre Dame have shown some interest in Parker recently

Link?
Or are you the only "fan" saying that about a kid committed to Arkansas?

Andrew Parker has been evaluated by 247 and is now a 3 Star with an 86 rating and the #33 player in Louisiana.

I've never put too much stock in any of the evaluations, whether Rivals, Scout, or 24/7. I don't think there are very many working for any of them that are being paid like coaches and assistants are to evaluate talent.
If the kid has 2 SEC offers in his pocket, and interest from other P5 schools, that is probably much more the reason for the new ratings.
I spent hours per day watching Rivals and Scout, and documenting how kids ratings changed as the offers increased.
I think we may see more of this late evaluations and offers with the early signing period. I figure some of the big names signing probably makes room for kids like this to get an honest look, by the services and the coaches both.

I am. Surely you don't think the evaluators at Rivals, Scout, or 24/7 are better at identifying talent than coaches who make millions doing just that, do you?

Are you tracking what post I replied to?

Nope. Wouldn't know how. It's why I generally quote the post I'm responding to.

Ah, behind the times I see...
Anyway, you talked major shite about offering Parker, even if in a round about way, and now you are backing off. No surprise.

I stand behind everything I've said, just as I have for the 10 years I've been around here. Whether the kid is now considered the #33 or #1 player in LA doesn't mean crap to me. At the time he committed, he had no P5 offers with something like 3 weeks to go before national signing day, and after the early signing period.
Chavis could have offered the kid while he was at aTm. He didn't, and neither did any other P5 program.
As I said in my first comments, I hope the kid is an All-American, but I also hope our recruiting improves in the years to come. Whether you guys like it or not, it's some of you that are butthurt by an honest assessment that have shite on the kid, not me.

Some kids just a ton of attention late in the process after people see the senior film. Is what it is. This kid fits that mold.

Looking at his film, I don't even see why that would be the case. Like I said, nobody is paying me to evaluate, but he looks talented to me. Makes me wonder if there could have been other issues.
If he's good, I'm glad we got him, and I'm glad Chavis was on him. Bunch of these guys seem to think I just want to shite on Chavis, but that just isn't the case. I said before that I don't know if the knocks on him are true or not. It's not unfair to take an honest look at what is going on.

you don't know but have asserted them as true several times....this is why people think you want to shite on chavis....

The only things I've asserted as true are the things that are true, such as the fact that in 27 years as a DC, he shows responsible for 2- 5* and 10- 4* recruits, and the fact that Chavis shows to be the #12 ranked DC recruiter in the SEC, in a list someone threw at me.

I imagine it will be tough to hold on to him at this point.

I’m too lazy or I’d bump posts with people complaining about his offer list

That would be for me, I don't think there were any other "people" willing to be shite upon repeatedly for telling the truth.
Late offers from name schools is not a new concept. Several of them let others identify the players they want, and then lift their skirt to those players with a week, or a day to go before signing.
This doesn't change what his offer list looked like when he committed. The only thing it may really speak to is the fact that there are a lot of coaches out there not doing their jobs.
ETA:

This is a late offer trying to fill a class by a brand new staff when pickings are slim.
This was you, about 8 pages back, and at least one other poster who has been flinging shite my way quoted you, agreeing completely.
So now, is this kid a product of slim pickings, or is he the highly sought after blue chipper everyone wants to make him out to be, since it's such great fodder to continue with the shite flinging?
