This walk-on program is going to produce an All-SEC player soon. I feel safe saying that we've never had a coach get such good players to walk-on and give up scholarships from smaller programs. Bert's really capitalized on the Razorbacks home-state team thing there. There are tons of kids that grow up loving the hogs that will give EVERYTHING they have. Sign me up.

in 4 years we've landed Collins, Rawleigh and Whaley.

It doesn't strike you as odd that in 4 years we've had 3 backs that were high rated. and saying Rawleigh was highly rated is kinda a stretch since he was a 3 star by most if not all services although he lit it up his senior year. This all considering the amount of 1k yard rushes we've had and running backs we've had drafted is extremely sketchy for a team that relies so heavy on the run.

We've also got Juan day and Denzel Evans on the roster but Juan is constantly injured and evans clearly isn't up to par if he can't get on the field with all the injuries we had at the position this year.

I wonder if it has something to do with wanting #UnCommon young men. When dealing with some of those stud recruits that have offers from everyone, I imagine that Bert is not blowing as much smoke up a kid's arse. I also imagine that the kind of kids that WANT that kind of smoke don't fit Bert's description of uncommon.

Some of it might but i also think it has to do with missing the top targets. Especially when you look at who we offered I think it becomes clear we wanted some of those kids but didn't get them. not that I think we should land everyone we offer but it's not like we aren't trying to get the higher ranked guys for lower ranked guys all the time.

This probably has a lot to do with us losing out on stars. But team chemistry is more important imo. Or you could end up with a situation like A&M is dealing with.

all of this.

kids that really like having smoke blown up their arse aren't worth the time, since arrogance goes hand in hand with that smoke blowing. hard work and humbleness wins out every time. speaking of, kristian has been described as pretty humble a few times...

He probably just wasn't humble enough and we didn't blow enough smoke up his arse. Am I doing this right?

Scared of Whaley imo. Sucks we didn't get him but we had to get one of him, Whaley, Pennamon, or White and we did.

read either in this thread or on another site that supposedly bielema has been secretly recruiting another RB. Expect someone out of nowhere with low-level offers.
