Anton Beard and Trey Thompson now 4-stars and ranked in the top 100 on ESPN.
Nick Babb also got a 4th star.
When is Mike Anderson going to start recruiting highly ranked players?

Since Anderson has been here, he's gotten 8 commits, 7 of which were in the top 150.
Can't recruit.

Only because they were either from Arkansas or had Arkansas ties.
He needs to be grabbing 5*s from Alaska to convince me he can recruit.

Nice.
I noticed in the APR is no longer an excuse thread he started, he puts all the blame on Heath for Pel's first year score but fails to mention the other year that was only 8 points above the benchmark and the score 7 points below the bench mark leading to the problem that would have still remained with the bench mark being moved to 930 had Mike's single year score, and best for the program, of 977 not happened.

I have not heard of commits or even offers from camp. Have I missed something?
Not really. We offered 1 DL player from Mississippi who was pretty much guaranteed an offer if he showed up at camp. The only other offer was to a 2016 DLineman from Star City.

Jesus, and you guys accuse HV of being sunshine pumpers.
Wow, seven commits in the magnificent TOP 150!!!
I would project all seven to be lottery picks if it wasn't for the ESPN bias.
Come on man, you're better than that.

Anderson has recruited like a frickin' champ.

Jury is still out and everybody knows it.
He's signed one player outside of the state of Arkansas that was above a 3 star rating.
That player was Moses Kingsley, whom I've read several times is best friends with Portis, so an argument can be made that Kingsley is Portis' signee.
Basketball talent seems to be on the rise in Arkansas lately. Maybe MA can get it done with in-state recruits, but I don't think that would make him a "great recruiter".
Getting more 4 and 5 star talent outside the State would be characteristic of a great recruiter.
Not saying he can't be a great recruiter, just saying he hasn't been one yet.

Until you look at the class and see that Coty Clarke and Michael Qualls were out of state 3 stars that were our best players last year in multiple games.
I love how people throw out the stars thing, then forget about how good Clarke and Qualls were last year to try and make their argument worth a shite.
It doesn't matter how good they are, they were 3 stars!!!111!!ONE!!!1

Yea, he made a living on 3-stars at Mizzou, he's just getting 5 and 4's too here.
Posted on 6/13/13 at 1:55 am to Woopigsooie20
Not to even mention Anthlon Bell in that class, who could very well end up the best player out of that class when it's all said and done, guy is going to be a force behind the arc and a guy that takes pressure off Portis/Kingsley/Clarke because with just a little space he will drain a 3 from anywhere on the court.
Memphis is close to Arkansas though so he probably doesn't count as out of state, terrible pipeline too.

Junior quarterback Ty Storey of Charleston said he will visit Arkansas at 3:30 on Friday afternoon. He attended the Hogs' camp on Monday and there's a good chance he'll find out whether or not he'll receive a scholarship offer from the Razorbacks during the visit.

Mine too.
Anton Beard, committed to Mizzou, flipped to Arkansas.
Doesn't count he's from Arkansas and would have went to Arkansas regardless of the coach.
