Looks like there's significant mutual interest between us and 2014 prospect Nick Babb, a 6'4 SG, out of Arlington, TX. No reported offer yet, but a visit is in the talks for next month, and apparently, there's a fairly significant press being applied.

Babb is a sleeper for now, but as time passes this summer, he should have a nice collection of offers. Right now, Creighton, Tulsa and Texas Tech have offered for now. Once the rankings are updated, he should be a top 100-150 kid.

One of Arkansas' top offensive line targets Jovan Pruitt had a very good visit and said he felt at home. and he could see himself playing at Arkansas. He likes offensive line coach Sam Pittman and Coach Bret Bielema's track record of putting left tackles into the NFL.

He was able to interact with several of the 2013 signees and was impressed with the team chemistry. His coach Michael Johnson noticed how the coaches were very family oriented and called it a family atmosphere. He said Arkansas is a special place.

Pruitt said he's looking at Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Baylor and Ole Miss. He claims no leader.

In all seriousness, if someone chooses to play for Greg freaking Davis there is something wrong mentally.

Don't be surprised if we get our first two 2015 commits today, along with 2-3 2014 commits.

I hope you are correct. We need to get some commits rolling in.

Any predictions? For 2015 I'm guessing Bell will be one of them. Not real sure on the 2014. My guess would be if Murray/Cooper were offered and maybe Shorter is we get lucky.

We offered Breeland Speaks, which isn't a surprise. He was one of the Mississippi prospects.

Yeah we offered but the article that the 247 guys just put out doesn't make it seem like he is even remotely close to making a decision.

The Auburn article about Abu Lamins visit there said their visit was even better than his one to Arkansas.

I have yet to read a recruiting article that didn't have a homer bias into it from the reporter, then some kids just tell these guys what they want to hear.

Speaking of which, this guy comes to mind. I guess HiV can rest easy knowing we won't be facing this future NBA hall of famer in the up coming seasons...

Rutgers transfer Jerome Seagears is leaving #Auburn without ever playing or even knowing if he'd been cleared to play.

Tony Barbee: "Jerome came to me and expressed that he hadn’t truly recovered emotionally from his time at Rutgers."

I agree just like ours are slanted towards Arkansas. That being said most everyone seems to be backing off the prediction that he ends up here. Maybe we still get him in the end but it won't be a slam dunk like it previously was thought to be.

According to Otis Deandre Murray didn't show up at the camp today like expected. His coach is trying to get in touch but hasn't got him to answer yet.

I think any Gus Malzahn connected HS coaches need to be canned. Also visiting HiV is bad for my mental health

There would be a lot of schools looking for new coaches in this region...

Unless you mean connected more than buying his books and attending his coaching clinics over the years.

Art Bryles had a similar following in Texas, sure he has landed some good offense prospects in his time on the CFB level, but HS coaches do not guarantee a player goes here or there, if that was the case we would have missed out on several Florida recruits last year...
