Not necessarily. Usually these guys talk to an NFL advisory committee before deciding to declare. A lot will depend on his combine and individual workouts.

He gone, then.

I'm actually not going to be surprised if Flowers goes before Smith.

If he can get 2nd round money then good for him, I wish him the best. I just hope he doesn't declare and then fall to one of the later rounds. Then everyone loses.

Would love to have him another year.

No surprise here from our end but it's still the latest update on Solomon Thomas from 247:

quote:

A source with knowledge of the situation talked with Thomas's coach in recent days and said that Stanford is really hurting themselves with the Coppell (Texas) High five-star and his family by not getting back to them about whether he has cleared admissions in Palo Alto.

This is to Ohio State's gain.

My source indicated what we've been reporting. That Ohio State is in that lead group with Stanford. He added that it will be interesting to see what happens now that Texas has Charlie Strong.

Thomas's coach told my source it will be either Stanford, Ohio State or Texas for Thomas. Thomas himself has those three schools and Arkansas and UCLA in his final five. I think Stanford was the clear team to beat, but not having any clear answers right now is hurting here.

I love the fact the Buckeyes have the last official, and what looks like the final say here. I'm very close to switching my Crystal Ball. If there are now answers from Stanford by the end of the week, I will turn mine to Ohio State.

I would imagine Partridge leaving hurt us more. We've never been at the top of his list but this just further proves it as we get closer to signing day.

We can still make a move with a new DL coach if they click but I wouldn't put my confidence level in us landing him at over 20%.

Yeah I'm being a little generous. Honestly, I think we have no shot at him at all but you never know what could happen with a new hire and once we get him on an OV.

I'd like to see us end up with one of reef and thomas. They both seem like the real deal and are definitely talented but thomas is stanfords to lose and I don't blame him. I hope he loses every game he plays in if he goes to tOSU nothing personal but I would never root for that team ever, don't care if family was on it (in this situation I would most likely not actively root against them or for them)

I know all along Solly hasn't wanted to go to same school as his sister and how much academics are playing in his decision but my gut feeling (maybe it is just hope) is that we blow him away on his official and Bielema, Pittman, whoever the DL coach have a good in-home visit then get it done on NSD.

he seems like a top notch kid from everything i've read. I'd absolutely love to get him. I don't think we will but you never know. you have to at least try and get a kid like this in here and put your best foot forward. I didn't think we'd get alex collins last year either though so wtf do I know.
