What is with the rumors of a player on the basketball team steering recruits away from Arkansas?
First I've heard of this? Do tell, however.

Needs to get those subscription numbers up a bit.

I guess, apparently he went on DTS yesterday talking about how Nutt had a player on his team (didn't say which one as far as I know) steering recruits away from Arkansas, I guess this was a response to basketball recruiting or he was implying that this was the case.
I don't listen to DTS or subscribe to his site, so I have no idea.

He breaks tackles for a fun.

Hope so. I'm in need of a couple commits with the Orlando Brown to Tenner deal.

No kidding. That was my favorite part of his video. He just kills people in it.

Its not just a Biddy rumor. Others who cover recruiting have said the same thing. Of course it is one of those things that no one can back up...
Personally I think it is just more excuses for Mike not landing some recruits he should have.

I think people get too bent out of shape on Mike's recruiting.
Guy was a great recruiter at Missouri, his first real class in 2012 landed us Michael Qualls and Coty Clarke who at the time we thought we had a disappointing class and look now, those guys were the load of the team last year and we aren't even .500 without them.
Jamal Jones had his scholly offer revoked, and Seagears wanted more playing time. Not to even mention Seagears had in home visits from WVU, Baylor, and Marquette and none of those 3 offered him a scholarship and he ends up going to awful Auburn.
Neither of those guys are worth getting bent out of shape over.

And I think people make way to many excuses for the man.
2010 was the only class that was above average as far as recruiting rankings are concerned.

No kidding, they do not work out all nice like in football due to schools taking a different amount of players each year.
If you are talking about Mike's 2010 class that consisted of the Pressey brothers, Tony Mitchell, and Ricardo Ratliffe, it was a good class, Mike beat out Pel and Arkansas for Ratliffe when Pel though he had him locked up.
If you meant the 2011 class, that class was just like the 2008 class, highly ranked, but only one player from each will have contributed 3 years at Arkansas out of ten players total.
If you meant Arkansas' class of 2010 consisting of Marvell Waithe, Ricky Scott, and Madracus Wade, I'm just going to have to disagree with you about that being a good class.
The 2013 class is low on quantity, but high on quality, better in the rankings than the above for Arkansas, if they signed 5 players like in 08 and 11 it too could be a top ten class instead of a top 20 class, by the rankings.

I'm not talking about team rankings lining up all pretty. Most of the guys he signed were middle of the pack with a few elite guys. Same thing he has done so far here. Not to mention it will be 2014 before we get a decent PG signed and Beard doesn't even play that spot now.
So far he has shown to be a decent recruiter but not elite but this place is just like everywhere else. Stars matter when we get a 5* but if it is a 3* he is better than his ranking and is the missing piece that we needed.

So anyone heard anything about a potential addition to our 2013 football recruiting class? Supposedly there is another RB that we have at least talked to. The 247 guys won't say anything yet though while try to track down the story and see if there is anything to it.
I would normally say they are just trying to sell subscriptions but it is in the pay area that they mention it.
