So let's rile this thread up a bit.
How good was the crop of 2012 in state recruits? 26 kids signed D1 LOI's. It looks like Gus snagged all of the 2nd tier guys that had an outside chance of getting an offer but we signed better out of state players.
Gus Bus picked up 12 in state guys. Jemar Clark, Freddi Knighten, Warren Leaphart, Quanterio Heath were guys I saw HV hoping to get a Hog offer. Can we use A state's results to indicate the level of recruit Arkansas is putting out? We'll cherry pick and keep recruiting nationally and expanding our footprint regionally.
I think Arkanas can put out 1-2 national type recruits yearly with 4-5 solid players and another 10 project types. In good years maybe we'd have 4-5 top 250 players and 6-7 solid contributor players. With all the instate guys Jonesboro CC is signing and Gus's demigod status with HS coaches that didn't coach against him, how likely would a legit recruit choose the Gus Bus over tBeacon?

I'm sure those are all great kids but thankfully HV can't offer recruits.

Would never happen unless he was a grade risk and we passed after offering.
