Kirkland was contacted by da U and he and his family are having a 3pm meeting at the school with Golden.

Saw that.

I guess we can assume that he's giving Denver back the scholarship?

No kidding? I did not know that. So our two best recruiting guys (RD & DW) were both just message board posters before they got their current jobs? Awesome.

Scout tried to get me to work for them back in 2008.

Damage Control by Thug U.

We can only hope that it blows up in their face. I've never wished NCAA sanctions on any program, but dammit I hope that they hammer those cheating bastages. They can only be relevant when they are operating on the fringe of the rules.

I've seen numerous football sites pop up looking for reps. No one has money to actually pay for it to be a job unless you get a reputation and get a media company to bring you on.

Better off just starting your own site, pumping out the same stories that everyone else does and make your info paid content. Remember to cater to Bama, the gumps and Aubs pay for the info.

You could probably bank if you were the anti-SEC recruiting service. Write stories on rumors of SEC cheating or dirty business andd hype up other schools across the country.

Saturday's Dwayne Johnson update
His head coach believes a decision will likely come later today or possibly tomorrow. From everything I've been able to gather, it appears Arkansas is the slight favorite to land Johnson as of today, but no one is 100 percent sure. The unknown here is how well Nebraska's final visit went with him at his school yesterday. I'm told Dwayne and his father appear to be leaning toward Arkansas while a few others around him like Nebraska. I was told Sam Pittman has done a fantastic job in a very short amount of time. We'll see what happens but it appears a decision will come soon.

Straight from the noob, DW

Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reported earlier offensive lineman Denver Kirkland's stepfather said Miami asst. coach Michael barrow contacted him at 11 am eastern time today to set up a meeting with Hurricanes coach Al Golden at 3 today.

surely it is a NCAA violation for a school to pull a scholly then give it back on good faith that the kid will commit. put the fear of God in the kid so to speak.

doubt there would be a way to prove it here. but if kirkland indeed gets his scholly back and commits, somethings fishy...

I don't think there are any NCAA violations here, just Golden and his staff stepped on their dicks and are now having to do damage control. I hope that recruits, their coaches, and families see them for the scumbags they are.

I doubt Kirkland ends up at Miami. Maybe not here but how could you want to go where you obviously aren't wanted.

I exchanged a couple of texts with Damon Mitchell's head coach, Tim Watson. Still sounds like Arkansas has a very good chance of landing Mitchell. Coach said they haven't heard an official word from Georgia Tech in regards to his offer being pulled because of the Arkansas visit. He said from what he's heard so far Damon's really enjoying Fayetteville.

Alex Collins, RB, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) South Plantation

In the Hunt – Miami and Arkansas

The Skinny – The 5-foot-11, 204-pound Collins has long been though as a prospect that would end up signing with the Hurricanes. After a visit to Arkansas last weekend, the seemingly easy decision is a little more in doubt. Despite the connections to the Arkansas coaching staff at South Plantation, this one still feels like the home-town university with Collins set to announce on Monday.

Prediction – Miami (Hamilton), Arkansas (Shurburtt)
