I haven't kept up with this guy, what's the feel on him? Looks like most sites have him as a Florida St. lean.
FSU, NOW?
It was said to be down to between us and Miami.
Now they are saying us, FSU, and Ole Miss. His Mom loved us on their visit here, FWIW.

Being his final visit can't hurt.

I took a quick look at 4 sites, 2 had him at Florida St. The other 2 varied. I'm still looking around at info though.

Miami was his favorite, just barely over FSU.
jordan @jordansarge
@SBNRecruiting @JGJr9 if it is academics, saying the class is full is a good cover, right? info in this situation can only be one-sided.
@jordansarge @SBNRecruiting Why would Miami recruit a kid for a year and pull the offer 5 days away over grades? Makes ZERO sense.

According to multiple reports, Miami is no longer an option for Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington offensive line recruit Denver Kirkland.
Varying reports have it that Miami is just now discovering that it cannot admit Kirkland due to academics, or that it no longer has room.

Man, props to Freeze. I will say that and I will eat crow. I thought he was going to be average at best, but he had a good year, which yes you can have on motivation as Nutt has proven time and again, but then he follows it up with a great job of recruiting. If he lands a couple more bigs he could crack top 10 which is just incredible if you look at what he has done in the last 4-5 years.

I'll never second guess or doubt Freeze. He's leveraged Oher and the Touhy's from girls hoops to coaching Ole Miss and Sean Touhy was really close to getting the OM AD job.
The power brokering that guy pulls off is something to learn from.

Works for me, but I still don't think he's going to call the Hogs.

if Collins' twitter is any indication of what he's thinking then i would be very surprised if he isn't a hog on the 4th

Yeah, but several of the recruits for OM this year had ties to guys already at OM, then once they got these commits they were able to get other commits because they knew each other from going to combines, all-star games, etc. It was kind of a snow ball effect.

Well, this is good news in more ways than one.
Booker T. coach Tim "Ice" Harris says he's stunned #UM pulled scholarship from Kirkland LINK
quote:
With less than a week before National Signing Day, the Hurricanes have pulled a scholarship offer from a top recruit at a major high school power in Miami-Dade County and angered its head coach.
Harris, who himself worked on UM's staff under Randy Shannon, said he had assured UM coaches privately Kirkland had decided to sign with the Canes and was simply waiting until National Signing Day to announce. But because Kirkland wasn't willing to commit before then and make the announcement public, Harris said, assistant Micheal Barrow told him the program "was moving in a different direction."
"They don't know when an offer is going to get pulled, if they're going to do what they did to Denver today. He's an All-American. I just don't understand how they let him get out of here. I won't stop anybody from going to UM, but I can tell you I'll never help them again."
Well, this is good news in more ways than one.
