Keohler said the Catfish Hole experience was a turning point for him being a Hog. The fans and their enthusiasm blew him away. Being from an all boys school, there's brotherhood on his team and after seeing all the adversity the team went through this past year and after talking to the players today he heard how hungry they are to succeed and that made him decide to be a Razorback.

When he called to say he was a Hog at 4:02, he said he had told offensive line coach Sam Pittman about his decision. He and Pittman agreed to have him go public with his commitment as a surprise to coach Bret Bielema.

Excellent news.

Several BCS offers, including more than half of the PAC12.

OK if CH is making a difference, I'm down with the hushpuppies. I've liked the idea of it being a down home family type atmosphere, but what I don't like is it being purported as the best we have to offer, because it's not.

Everybody loves their gramma and I'm cool with the place having that sort of granny's house vibe, but I'm also smart enough to know that there's about 1000 different factors to consider when you're a highly recruited athlete and I don't want a restaurant to be a prime one.

We jumped almost 20 spots in rankings with Koehler committing.

FWIW half of what makes the CFH argument so funny is half the people in it are arguing about the food...

It isn't the food, its the atmosphere that gets the recruits attention you can create that at any restaurant, the SEC really fricked us with @ Ole Miss and @ Carolina this year on the weekend as we can't take the recruits to a basketball game for the atmosphere to give them a sample of the fanbase, we have Tenn at home on feb 2nd then @ vandy on feb 9th...

Exactly the point of my thread. There are much better restaurants in Fayetteville right next to campus where you can get the same atmosphere.

Portis had 31 and 15.

Portis finished the tournament averaging 22 points per game.

We do, but it's hard to get excited about a punter. And now we don't even know if he committed.

Although 247 has him as a hard commit.

Did 247 just drop Koehler to a 3*?

When they updated their rankings last week he was rising and was a 4* IIRC.

He's a 4*, 3* on composite. Whatever that is.
