Receiver Eddie Jackson, 6-2, 180, 4.38 of Lauderdale Lakes, Fla. said on Tuesday he was planning to officially visit Arkansas Jan. 25 but is now visiting Feb. 1. His mother is from Little Rock and he has other family members in the state. Hogs' receiver coach George McDonald recruited Jackson while at Miami while linebacker coach Randy Shannon recruited him at TCU.

It won't totally shock me if DT Monty Nelson goes ahead and commits tonight. I'm not saying that's definitely going to happen or that I want people sitting around waiting for it (we'll send text alerts, tweets and Facebook posts out if it happens), but it wouldn't surprise me to see that happen based on my conversations with Monty and his coach this evening. Monty will visit next weekend so he may wait until then but as of right now there's a very good chance Arkansas will land him whether it's tonight or next weekend.

Yea, I've got him penciled in as a lock, pretty much.

Ke'tyrus Marks, 6-2, 281, 4.9, of Riviera Beach (Fla.) Suncoast just told me that Partridge had an in-home visit with him today at around noon eastern. He said they have set an official visit for the 25th and Partridge told him there's a good chance he could earn an offer. Parks said his profile height and weight needs updated but the offers are legit. Not a lot of stunning offers so Partridge must see something he really likes. Parks is the all-time sack leader at Suncoast High.

24-7 updated their top 247 list today.
Alex Collins moves up to #17 from #40, shows us as the leader with Miami also 'warm'.
I can't express how big that would be and what an opportunity is to show S. Florida kids that they can to Fayetteville and thrive. The first group this staff gets out of there has to do well and adjust well. It seems the ones past staffs have pulled from that part of Florida weren't really prepared and didn't adjust. I don't think this staff is going to be taking a kid just because, but getting some real solid players that understand what they have to do to take care of business.
Altee Tenpenny goes up to 31 from 44. He'll have the full court press put on him, but if he truly would rather be somewhere else so be it. He'll have a chance to play right away on either side of the ball here.
Corey Clement, Wisky's committed 4star RB has shot up to #59 from 146. I don't know if we're pursuing him but I've heard his named tossed
around.
Kevin Olsen the Miami commit who dropped us as soon as Petrino landed in the ditch, went up to 60 from 77 despite his not so great UA game showing.
Kylie Fitts in at #92 down from 88. We'll see if USC can convince him to wait until the fall to report.
Hunter Henry drops to 106 from 70. strange.
Gary Moore from Clarksville, TX (hour east of Texarkana just below the OK border) might be a name to watch and see which schools respond to the rankings. He's skyrocketed to #143 from 385. A 6-6 220lb WR, offers from TCU, Tulsa, stAte, N. Texas, Mizzou, UTSA.
Jordan Wilkins up to #150 from 178. Another one that would a nice steal. Reports from Aubie posters are that Gus really isn't interested in the kid.
Reeve Koehler up to 159 from 296. I believe we all know how important this kid would be for our Oline.
Daeshon Hall up to 170 from 200. I hope we can get him to come for a visit, word was it's likely.
Maurice Porter OT 6-6 280, Missouri City, TX Marshall HS. I think this is Knile's HS iirc. Been a Texas Tech commit since July but is visiting Oregon, he's flippable. I hope we've got a bead on him. He just went up the charts to 187 from 411.
Devon Allen up to #234 from 256. UCLA is the team to beat.
Call me crazy but I think we can come away with 2 of the 3 RB's, flip Daeshon Hall, lock up Devon Allen, and Reeve Koehler. Add in a few of the Chaney/Pittman flips and some surprises from McDonald and Shannon. We'll close with a pretty impressive class considering where they started from.

Saturday 1:42 update
Honolulu St. Louis high school offensive lineman Reeve Koehler, 6-3, 315, 5.2 said his in-home with Arkansas Coach Brett Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman lasted about two hours and went very well. He said his three year old sister interacted with Bielema which was a surprise because she hasn't done that in the past with other coaches.
Koehler said he was surprised by how big Bielema was and how he seemed like a father figure to his players. His family was very impressed.
He said Pittman was wearing orange the first time he made an in-home visit and tonight he was wearing red. He found that amusing.
The family served up stew for dinner and had haole brownies with haupia ice cream on top. Haupia is a coconut pudding.
Bielema told Koehler he would be surprised when he gets to Fayetteville in regards to how nice it is there.
Koehler said he will decide from Kansas and Arkansas not too long after his visit to the Razorbacks. - RD

He better have been in contact with Barry Alavarez first, we do not want anger and hurt feelings from him...

Nelson was set to officially visit Arkansas Jan. 18 but that could be pushed back to the 25th. He said he should know around Tuesday or so. Whichever date it is he said he'll probably commit to the Hogs during his visit. He added he might wait until signing day to commit.

A couple of days ago. He had said he was only looking at Cal and UCLA but hopefully we can get him to visit.

Collins' girlfriend is NOT a hog fan. She'll be pushing the U hard. We really really don't need a DGB 2.0. Hopefully collins is smarter.

It's going to be very tough to get him out of Florida.
Speaking of Collins here's an interesting note that I saw in this article on 247 just now about his visit with the coaches today.
No matter how good he is, we are still going to be super thin at RB next year if that is really the case.
